matters. The article throws light on Trump's history of misogyny attributed by accusations

related to sexual misconduct as well as a recent court ruling against him (Hesse, 2024). The

about the legal consequences, but also Trump's actions have also flickered public debate as well

as criticism. The social institution that is involved in the act is Politics. Trump's behavior

throughout the context of his role being a political leader and even a public figure, with his

dynamics surrounding the political sphere.

Considering the article, Donald Trump's behavioral act towards women can be

theoretically analyzed and explained by using the lens of structural functionalism. This theory

proposes that social institutions, for example the politics, is engaged in maintaining stability as

well as order in society (de Nardis & de Nardis, 2020). Within this political institution, political

figures such as Trump may involve in certain behaviors that assists their own interests or those

who are their constituents. Such behavior can be seen even if such actions are harmful or

unethical. In this article, Trump's behavior concerning women is found to be characterized by

allegations related to sexual misconduct and which is also attributed by derogatory remarks.

Therefore, it can be considered as an expression of pursuit of power and control within the

political environment.

Structural functionalism speculates that people within social institutions accomplish roles

that contribute towards complete functionality and stability within the society (Izadi et al., 2020).

In the context of politics, leaders for example Trump is showcasing their exploitation power and

assertation of control over sidelined groups, such as women, for maintaining their own

supremacy and further carry out their political agendas. Therefore, it can be said that Trump's

behavior towards women can be perceived as a reflection of the structural dynamics, which is

dominant within the political institution, where disparities related to power and gender

inequalities are continued to serve the benefits of those in positions of authority.

The act of Donald Trump's behavior and attitude women has been managed through

various ways. Considering legality, accusations of sexual misconduct and offence have directed

towards court rulings against him. This can be supported by the recent defamation case raised by

E. Jean Carroll, which even resulted to financial penalties (Cramer & Christobek, 2024).

However, considering the public response, it has also played an important role. The public have

not only condemned Trump's actions as sexist and unacceptable, but also have protected or

dismissed them, which resulted in the ongoing debates about gender dynamics and political

responsibility within the society. Overall, it can be said that the management of this act has

intricated a mixture of legal sanctions as well as public discourse, which resulted in highlighting

the difficulties of addressing wrongdoing by powerful figures in society.

For preventing similar occurrence of this act in future, strengthening of legal protections

against sexual harassment and sexual discrimination in politics needs to be done (Berthet &

Kantola, 2021). Higher inclusion of gender diversity and inclusion must be introduced in

political system for combating sexism and discrimination. Moreover, certain mechanisms need to

be developed through which reporting and investigation of allegations related to misconduct

within political institution can be collected. Finally, education and awareness programs through

implementation of training modules for politicians and related staff on gender equality, diversity

and respectful political behavior needs to be included. This will help in promoting cultural

change within political institution accompanied by values and respect for women in society.

Conclusion

While concluding it can be said that that women are not considered as power worthy or

someone who can hold authority due to the sexist mentality of political leaders. By applying

domination towards women and by reinforcing outdated gendered roles, Trump is showing male

supremacy in society. Being a highly reputed political figure, it becomes the responsibility to

respect women and restrict sexist behavior, however it is not being followed in the contemporary

society.
