1. What were your main expectations about it?

What is was expecting at the moment of reading the first parts of the article
were a text where it explains the dynamic or the process that mathematicians and
mathematics educators have to follow in order to obtain a good way of teaching
mathematics during their meetings, as well as what kind of things are still missing
in this process and what they can do to make it better.

2. Did you have any idea about dialogical inquiry

methodology? In case No, explain what did you
do to know about it?
I never heard about that before, it was actually the first time that I read ”dia-
logical inquiry [Link] first I thought that was a methodology that requires
dialogue between the people that are participating. But actually is more than that,
is to be able to accept new knowledge, sharing ideas and meanings in a way that our
concepts of something expand.

3. What information you think isn’t in the text or
it’s missing for you, but should be there? Why?
I think that it would have been interested a section talking about what kind of
issues this methodology could have, and what kind of thing we can do to solve them
or avoid them.

4. What advantages and disadvantages you found

for the field of Math after reading this article?
I think the advantages that are in the field of Math are that people are really
interested in making people that are not really into that field understand it, and that
people are able to learn different stuff of this area.
Meanwhile the disadvantages that can be found in this field are that in the teaching
aspect is really hard to put everything in a .easy wayÏ think that teachers still have
problems explaining topics and that they know their students aren’t understanding
really clear. Mathematics have been a subject that people usually dislike however it
is important learn it cause it brings so much help in life.

5. Identify something in the article that you consi-

der interesting and convenient to apply in your
local context. Why?
I think this methodology could be use with the professors that usually teach a
subject, for example, there are two teachers that usually give differential geometry
so if they use that methodology they could talk about what kind of issues they saw
at the moment of teaching that class and conclude what kind of changes can make.
