Key Features
Calculation rules: This KPI provides the total unallocated quantity after an order allocation run is executed for relevant orders
(sales orders and stock transport orders) based on the Cancel Date Horizon eld. The app also displays the total quantities and
amounts for various allocation statuses..
View by Quantity: The order quantities are divided based on the following different allocation statuses:

Configuring 'Orders Approaching Cancel Date' affects the management of open orders by setting a horizon parameter that determines which orders are flagged as approaching their cancel date, thus prompting timely action. By defining this horizon, businesses can prioritize orders needing immediate attention, reduce the risk of order cancellations, and optimize resource allocation towards time-sensitive tasks .
SAP HANA roles are crucial in granting users the necessary permissions to access KPI data, including views and XS OData services. For the 'Total Orders by Status' app, specific SAP HANA roles like 'sap.hba.apps.fm.s.roles::OrderAllocationDetails' must be assigned to users to ensure they have the appropriate read-access to perform analytical tasks and view KPI data essential for business operations .
Setting different threshold values in SAP Fashion Management KPIs directly impacts business processes by dictating levels at which alerts are triggered. Critical, warning, and target values help in identifying when performance deviates from expected outcomes. For instance, a critical value of 50,000 signals significant inefficiencies, prompting immediate action. Such configuration ensures proactive management of inventory and order fulfillment, maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing risk .
The key steps in setting up the SAP Fiori System Landscape include ensuring that both front-end and back-end components are available in the system landscape and configuring the SAP Fiori infrastructure. This involves setting up SAP HANA XS as part of the SAP Fiori System Landscape and configuring both the front-end server and the necessary back-end components. Additionally, relevant SAP Notes, such as SAP Note 2096458 for front-end/UI enhancements, need to be implemented .
Filters in the SAP Smart Business Modeler allow users to restrict the data set displayed on a KPI tile based on specific requirements, such as sales organization or distribution channel. This aids in aligning the visualization with the business objectives and enables more targeted analysis by displaying only the most relevant data according to predefined criteria .
It's essential not to change the original KPI configurations provided by SAP because updates and new support packages can overwrite them, leading to a loss of custom settings. To ensure customizations are preserved, users should make copies of the original KPI, evaluation, and drill-down configurations. These copies can then be modified to suit specific business needs while keeping the original versions intact, safeguarding against future updates .
Potential challenges include ensuring that the system landscape supports SAP Fiori and setting up both front-end and back-end components appropriately. Another challenge is assigning SAP HANA roles correctly to enable access to KPI data. To mitigate these challenges, careful adherence to the configuration guidelines detailed in the SAP Fiori apps reference library is essential. Additionally, implementing crucial SAP Notes and ensuring the proper setup of the KPI tile for launching the app can help address potential issues .
Drill-down views allow users to analyze KPIs from different perspectives, such as 'View By Quantity' and 'View By Amount', providing a comprehensive understanding of performance metrics. 'View By Quantity' facilitates analysis of unallocated physical stock versus delivery quantity, while 'View By Amount' focuses on monetary values, highlighting financial performance. By using these views, businesses can make informed decisions based on both supply chain logistics and financial metrics, optimizing overall performance .
The selection of visualization types in SAP Smart Business, such as column or bar charts, affects how data is interpreted by structuring it in a way that highlights specific insights. For example, choosing a column single-axis absolute values chart for displaying unallocated quantities allows users to compare the magnitude and distribution of these quantities effectively. This influences decision-making and strategic planning by making data trends and patterns more apparent .
The KPI 'Top Articles' in SAP Fashion Management is significant as it focuses on minimizing unallocated quantities, thereby improving order fulfillment efficiency. Configuring this KPI involves setting up evaluations, drill-downs, and tiles specifically for the top articles by status. Users should create copies of the predefined KPI, evaluations, and drill-down configurations to customize them without altering the original ones, thus preventing loss of changes during updates. Parameters like the unallocated quantity in the base unit must be set, and goals, targets, and thresholds should be carefully defined to guide business decisions .
