The Epics oI Helios:
The rise oI the Legendary Six
Prologue
It is the year 337 B.C.E oI the Atlasian Calendar. War had consumed the lands oI
Atlas and its gods. Wars were waged Ior so long that the nations and the gods oI Atlas
Iorgot the original reasons Ior war. One island provincial city state remained completely
neutral through out the wars. A provincial city state is a city with the standing
sovereignty oI a nation and or country. An island provincial city state was named Helios.
Helios was largely unnoticed by the warring nations due to its neutrality.
The populace oI Helios was known Ior peace keepers, the keepers oI time,
Healers and their devotion to the three Goddesses oI Fate Urd, Urdandy, and Skuld. The
populace oI Helios had taken in reIugees oI war and politics. Yet, the tainting touch oI
war had Iound its way to the shores oI Helios several years beIore. A religious sect, in
the name oI their goddess Nyx, wanted to take over Helios through conceit, deception,
and through civil war.
The goddesses oI Iate had Ioreseen this and had prepared the king and his eleven
elite heroes Ior the impending civil war. The civil war had turned into a stalemate
between the king oI Helios and the sect oI Nyx. The head sorceress oI Nyx, in
desperation and in a rage, used her magic to make Helios` volcano to erupt violently. In
light oI the eruption, the king used the Solaris stone to protect the populace oI Helios.
The eruption and the power oI the stone shot up into the sky with raw energy. This
catastrophic event was seen and Ielt throughout all oI Atlas. All oI Atlas Iorgot its thirst
Ior war and came to the aid oI Helios. This event had changed the history oI Atlas Ior the
better as the goddess Nyx vowed to avenge her deIeated sect oI worshippers.
Comment |b1]: I like how you deIined provincial
cit state Ior all oI us to know what it meant. I was a
little conIused till I read this portion oI the paper.
Comment |b2]: Is there a reson why they only
take in peace keepers or the keepers oI time?
Comment |b3]:
What is a solaris stone?

Chapter 1
It is the year 13 oI the Atlasian calendar. Helios became a hub Ior trade and
commerce, academics, time and record keeping, alliances, treaties, and peace. The outer
part oI the island is in a shape oI the crescent moon. This part oI the island is the largest
in size with majestic mountains Iilled precious metals, ores and natural springs, lush
Iorests Iilled with exotic plants and animals, Iertile plains and valleys primed with herds
oI domestic and wild game and Iields oI precious crops. The inner and outer shores are
heavy laden with local seaIood. Towns and villages with local breweries littered the
country side. The tips oI this part oI the island Iorm a wide inlet. The middle part oI the
island is a large Iresh water lake brimming with Iresh water seaIood. The center oI the
island is a smaller island containing the main part oI the city and serves as the main port.
Villas, palisades, temples, government and commerce buildings, markets, docks and piers
Iilled with diIIerent trading ships, gyms, schools, museums, restaurants, bars, parks,
housing quarters, bathing houses, entertainment buildings, and streets brimming with
great innate architecture, engineering, and art.
Helios is governed by a constitutional monarchy and its national treasure is the
Solaris stone. The stone is heavily guarded and housed in a private location. The streets
and the docks are bustling oI people and horse draw carts coming to and Iro. The king
secret summoned E. Caruso an elven wizard, Caroline a halI elI druid and her animal
companion, a white wolI named charlie, Exodias a human cleric, and Brett a human
Iighter. The group oI Iour was lead to the king`s private study. The king`s study is rich,
warm, innate and Iilled with books, highly decorative comIortable handcraIted Iurniture
and lamps. The large Iireplace has a roaring Iire within it. The mantle has multiple
keepsakes. Above the mantle are hung a sword, a shield, and a Iamily painting oI the
royal Iamily. To the leIt oI the entrance oI the study is a table Iilled with locally brewed
liquor, whiskey, scotch, hot coIIee and tea, and all manners oI pastries and sweets. The
king was already sitting at his desk when they entered the study. He greeted them
warmly and Iondly as iI they were old Iriends. He motioned to them to make themselves
comIortable and eluded to the reIreshments near the entrance.
Comment |b4]: So were going back in time?
Comment |bS]: Is there a resaon Ior the crescent
moon? Like symbolism?
Comment |b6]: I like how you described this
passage with such description. Well done.
Comment |b7]: Are you saying eleven or elven?
I didn`t know
Comment |b8]: I like that name
Comment |b3]: Good description but I Ieel like
some oI this inIormation is not needed and is just
kind oI excess and not important to your actual
paper.

'Please, dispense with the Iormalities my Iriends. We are all equal here. Yet, I
must conIess, what is said here is in strict conIidence and privacy. Make sure it does not
leave this room. The king conIided.
'We will do so iI you can enlighten us on why we were summoned to you on
short notice? Caroline replied skeptically as she lightly scratched Charlie behind the
ears.
'Yes, I will explain myselI to you. But, I must apologize Ior the short notice.
Secondly, may I ask all oI you oI where did you get those amulets? Are they Iamily
heirlooms I presume? The king answered as the group oI Iour glanced at each other.
'Ill take that the later is true. II you are Iamiliar oI the history oI Helios and its
legend has bearing oI what I have asked you here and to those questions that I have asked
oI you thus Iar and what I will ask oI you. Now, those amulets that you wear were
passed down to you Irom those elite heroes oI the past. Those amulets were given to
them by the goddesses oI Iate themselves. I am sure that a version oI this story has been
passed down in your Iamily histories and traditions. The king began.
'Please, can you get to the point? Brett asked as he Iilled his glass to the brim
with brandy.
'Sorry Brett, I digress. Even though the Iour you are apprentices in your
proIessions, I wish to employ the Iour oI you Ior your services in completing quests that I
give you. Your quests and your employment will be only known to you, me, and a select
Iew. Secrecy is imperative here. Your Iirst quest is merely an assignment. You are
going to become my son`s elite guardians like the ones whom served the king that used
the Solaris stone. As you serve as guardians, you must improve yourselves in your
proIessions. Your quest is to Iind the other remaining seven descendants oI the elite
heroes oI old that are scattered throughout Helios.
'Sorry to interrupt, but how can we protect the prince and search Ior the others?
asked Caruso.
'Yes, that is a good question. You can do both, I want you to take my son as you
perIorm the search throughout the island. The reason is that there is a rumor oI
assassination oI the royal Iamily. I want my son to be hidden Irom any assassins..
Comment |b10]: Good dialogue.
Comment |b11]: Four oI you?
Comment |b12]: Great story kind oI hard to
believe it was written by you it was s good. Very
good description and and I can tell you know a lot
about world oI warcraIt. I am very impressed well
done. Although I thought some oI the stuII you
included with description was excess and not needed
In the paper. Very good besides that.
