Incident: Rape with Homicide

Date of Report: 30 May 2024

At approximately 0930 hours on May 30, 2024, I received a phone call

from a concerned citizen named Fhamela Fajardo, 20 years old, 2nd year college
student, through our hotline number. The caller reports about a suspicious
activity at the New Building, Ladies Comfort Room, Gapan City College, City Hall
Compound, Brgy. Bayanihan, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.

According to the witness, she's with her classmate April Reyes, 20 years
old, 2nd year college student, and just got up early to the school when they
noticed two individuals, a male and a female, who are wearing both black shirts
and pants. They are hastily running out of the comfort room with their hands
covered in blood. Fearing for their safety, the two witnesses hid and remained
concealed behind a wall until the suspect was out of sight. Once they felt it was
safe, they approached the hallway and discovered blood both on the ground and
on the walls leading to the ladies room. That made them call the police.

I arrived at Gapan City College at 0945 hours, together with my company.

I walked and talked to the witnesses, asking them to tell us where the crime
scene was. I've seen that they were terrified of what they'd witness. Upon
arriving in the said area, I saw red substances on the wall and a few footprints
on the floor. I saw someone covered with a sack, and upon lifting it, a girl with
an average age of 20 was lying there. Her head was covered with blood. I
checked her pulse and discovered that there's no. She's dead. There was a
broken glass bottle covered with blood, and there were shattered glasses on the
tiled floor. After opening a cubicle, I saw a pair of shoes on the left side, a bag
pack on the right side of the toilet, and underwear with blood on the right side of
the cubicle door.

After scanning the area, I called on the forensic unit for them to check,
investigate, and gather evidence that might be used to find and trace the
suspect, as the witnesses saw.

 According to the evidences collected and after the suspects named Lloyd
Andre A. Badeo, male, 22 years old, 4th year college student, and Anamae S.
Figueroa , female, 21 years old, 2nd year college student, both residing at Purok
3, Pambuan, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, were arrested the same day on their
houses, they admit what they did because of guilt, and they are with their
chosen council. From the facts they've stated, the victim was Shyna Dela Cruz,
20 years old and a second-year college student currently residing at Sto. Tomas,
Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija. The two suspects planned to take the victim at 1800
hours after the school's dismissal and hide her in the ladies room until night. The
female suspect admits that she wanted to get revenge, not to kill her, because
she got jealous of Dela Cruz's achievements and ordered someone to take her.
According to the male suspect, he actually assaulted the victim, as the female
suspect ordered. The victims slept after the assault and suddenly woke up
around 0630 hours in the morning, and all she does was cry and shout. The
suspects panicked, so they cover her head with an empty sack. The victim keeps
moving and shouting, so the female suspect finds something to shut her up. She
grabs an empty glass bottle of alcohol and hit the victim on the head, which
causes her to lose consciousness. Out of panic, they tried to put her on the side
and cover her with another sack. They heard noises outside, so they quickly
went out without thinking that someone might see them. And that's when the
witnesses call for us.

a. Fingerprint Technician Report

At the scene of the crime, two fingerprints were found. On a broken glass
bottle, there was one fingerprint that appeared to have been left by touching wet
blood. When the victim's mobile device was found in a bag, the other fingerprint
was found on it.

The first fingerprint was found on broken glass near the cadaver. The
fingerprint was clear to see and simple to classify. The fingerprint seems to have
been left on the glass by coming into contact with wet blood, suggesting there
might have been action taken at the location.

The fingerprint shows a pattern of ridges. The second fingerprint was

found on the victim's mobile phone inside a bag. It seems that the fingerprint
was left during handling before it was placed on the bag. Two different
fingerprints found at the crime scene indicate the potential for the presence of
different individuals who may have contributed to the crime. The people linked to
these fingerprints must be identified through additional examination and
comparison with known prints.

 B. Blood Report

I conducted a thorough analysis of three distinct blood samples recovered

from the crime scene. There were samples found in various locations, including
on the victim, in a broken glass bottle, and on the wall. The first blood sample
was discovered on the victim's body, on the left side of her head, on her clothes,
and on the wall behind the cadaver. The nature of the bloodstain indicates that
the victim might be struck by a hard object that causes the injury. Preliminary
analysis suggests that the victim's blood type is type A+.

The second sample was collected from a broken glass bottle. The sample
came from the sharp edge of the bottle, indicative of a recent injury sustained by
an individual handling the bottle. The blood type appears to be type O-.

The third blood sample was found on the wall. Example looks like it was
from the impression of the hand. The blood sample appears negative.

Based on the analysis conducted, it is evident that multiple individuals

were involved in the events leading to the deposition of the three distinct blood
samples. The different blood types and locations of the samples suggest that
each sample may be linked to a separate individual present at the scene. Further
forensic examination, including DNA analysis and comparison with known
profiles, is recommended to establish connections and aid in the ongoing
investigation.
