I believe you know the requirements for getting approved for
YouTube monetization. In case you don't, well you are required
to have:
1000 subscribers
4000 hours of watch time.
2 step verification
No active strikes
Now, it takes a long time if you intend to achieve this. But
thanks to the method you have learned in the case study.
You can get thousands of subscribers in the shortest time
possible.
Your main focus now is getting 4000 hours of watch time.

This is because, at the time of writing this ebook, views
accumulated from YouTube shorts do not count towards
getting you approved for monetization.
So what is the solution?
GET VIEWS TO LONG FORM VIDEOS
Since we are trying to get 4000 hours of watch time, this is
what we are going to do.
1. Create 4 long form videos
2. Get 1000 views to each long form video

Try not to get confused by the fancy word -
long form video. It's ideally a
5 to to 20 minutes video on Youtube.
Now let's take this one step at a time.
Create 4 long-form videos
If you have some videos already, that's great. But if not, then
let's go ahead and create your first 4 videos.
I will reveal 3 ways to create videos but first I'd like to
categorize the types of videos you can upload to your
Youtube channel.
Normal videos
Normal videos are often videos that Youtube prefers the most.
These are videos you record in front of a camera but take a
long time to rank and get views and subscribers.
This is why so many YouTubers give up before they get to see
results for all their hard work.
These types of videos require time and energy to set up and
you’d need a couple of things to get the ball rolling:
1. Camera: You don’t need a super fancy expensive camera
when starting out. An entry-level DSLR camera will do just fine.
Some of my favorites are Nikon D3300 and Canon 60D.
2. Light setup: I highly recommend Aputure 300D II or Godox
SL60 if you have the budget for it. If not a couple of Neewer
480 Led lights will do.
3. Audio: With audio, you can’t afford to get it wrong. I highly
recommend a Blue Yeti microphone if you have the budget
for it, or a RODE wireless Go isn’t a bad choice.
You can find all this on Amazon and check out some reviews
on Youtube.
4. Video editing software: Assuming you have your videos
recorded, editing is crucial to have a complete video and for
this I recommend the Adobe Premiere Pro CC suite if this is
beyond your budget, there are free options openshot and
shotcut. Do check them out.
If you are not sure what topics to create a video about, all you
have to do is type in your keyword in the Youtube search bar and
look through the results, watch through the top 5 to get some
inspiration to create yours.
Faceless videos
A lot of people seem to be shy these days and many opt for
creating faceless videos for their Youtube channels instead.
Here I am going to recommend 2 methods to create faceless
youtube videos.
1. Compilation videos: With compilation videos, all you need
to do is get a couple of videos from other sources like
Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok and make a compilation.
These work well for funny videos, pets, etc.
One trick you can apply is compiling 10 short videos you have
downloaded from TikTok (like we discussed in the case study)
to create a 10-minute video.
You can also get clips from sites like pexels and pixabay to
make videos around a topic with some text and music from
YouTube audio library.
GET VIEWS TO LONG FORM VIDEOS
Now we have the video creation process out of the way, let's
get the views. There are 2 ways you can go about this:
1. Driving your subscribers to watch your longer videos
2. Buying views
Driving your subscribers to watch your
longer videos
All you have to do is simply promote your long videos in the
description of your short videos so your subscribers can get to
watch them.
Not all subscribers will be keen on watching your long videos
because most times people who subscribed to your Youtube
channel in the first place only did that because the videos are
short videos.
But a good number will most likely watch your longer videos.
Now, this might take some time to achieve the required 4000
hours watch hours but let me show you a faster way.
Buying Views
This is easier than most people think and it costs less than 10
bucks to have 1000 high-quality views that also offer options
to add some ranking features like comments and likes to your
videos for even more organic reach.
This is how you get it done.
Head over to top4smm and register for an account with your
email and a password by clicking the registration button on
the home page. The page will look something like this:

Next, top up your account by clicking the upper right-hand
corner.
About 40 bucks will do for a start, just to be on the safe side.
This is because the cost for getting 4000 views is less than
$10 for 1000 views (includes likes, comments, etc) on each
video.

Okay so assuming you have done that already. Your next step
is simply to click on the Youtube button to select a couple of
options for getting views to your videos.
Now click the options under category and you should see a
3 couple of other options; Youtube views, Youtube Targeted
views, etc.
I know we are here to get watch time but the watch time
option on this site is not what we are really going for because
it’s a lot more pricey.
What you need is the Youtube views option which is literally
the same thing as watch time.

Next, click the service tab and you will be presented with 3
options but here you want to select the Youtube views Great
for Ranking option.

Next, paste the link to one of your Youtube videos and pick a
quantity and in this case, you need 1000 views. So all you need
to do is type in 1000.
Next, you will see a couple of options in the settings that are
totally optional but they add up to making your video views
look as natural as possible plus they help in ranking your
videos over time.
So let's just go ahead and pick a couple of them.
1. +Source: Suggested videos: This is a really great option
because it lets your videos get views from the suggested
videos feed on Youtube and only costs 30 cents more.
2. Set Drip feed: Definitely a good plus. You don't want to have
your views sent in a very short time. You don't want Youtube
sneaking up on your channel and placing it on the watch list
to get banned.
So with this option, you get to choose how many views per
day you need. I'd suggest really spreading it out to about 5
days just to be on the safe side. This will mean 200 views per
video for each day.
3. Video shares: you can pass on this.
But you can add it if you like, it's only a
couple of cents.
4. Likes: Likes really go a long way to tell
the YouTube algo that something about
your videos strikes your audience and
this, in turn, makes Youtube suggest your
videos to more viewers. So....yeah this is a
good add-on.
5. Comments: This is what proves to
YouTube that your video has a high level
of engagement. You can add this but I
like to have subscribers leave comments
naturally because they give more details
in their comments.
Okay, in total, your cost for this service should not be more
than $10 depending on the additional services you choose. At
this point, you only need to click on the send button and sit
back for the results.
Do the same for your other 3 videos and you should be
approved for YouTube monetization in less than a week
assuming you have acquired 1000 subscribers from posting
Youtube shorts.
At this point, you need to create more long videos in order to
keep earning from Youtube.
Bear in mind to make money on Youtube you need to have an
Adsense account set up. Here is a video to help you get
started.
How to set up an AdSense account
Now once that's out of the way. All you have to do now is
submit your channel for monetization by clicking Apply Now
on this page.
You will be redirected to a page with 3 steps.
1. Review Partner Program terms.
2. Sign Up for Google Adsense.
3. Get reviewed.
Let's take this step by step.

In order to do this all you need to do is click START and a pop
up dialog box that contains YouTube terms will be displayed.
You can go through it or simply scroll to the bottom of the
page to check and select that you accept the terms.

2. Sign Up for Google Adsense
We have already covered how to get this earlier so at this
point simply hit start and when the dialog box appears,
choose Yes, I have an existing account and hit continue.

You will be redirected to where you have to select which
Google account is connected to your Adsense account.
On the next page you will see a couple of details you need to
verify and all you need to do is click Accept association and
you will be redirected back to your YouTube studio with your
AdSense account connected.
3. Get Reviewed.
Once you are done with the first 2 steps successfully. The 3rd
step will show IN PROGRESS immediately and at this point, you
only need to wait for YouTube to review your channel and
send you an email letting you know you have been approved.
That's all you need to do and once your channel is approved
you can begin making money from YouTube.
