INT. RAMAN'S HOUSE - DAY
Maa’s phone is kept on the sofa, which starts to ring, with
‘Raman’ written on it. Maa rushes to the phone and answers
it.
MAA
Haa beta!
RAMAN
(V.O.)
Pahunch gaya maa
MAA
Samaan thik se utaar liya tha na,
kuchh chhoota to nahi.
RAMAN
Nahi maa, sab hai mere paas hi.
MAA
Chalo thik hai. Papa ko bhi ek baar
phone kar de.
RAMAN
Haan thik hai maa.
Phone gets disconnected. Maa looks at the phone and thinks
for some time. She dials Papa’s number.
MAA
Hello?
PAPA
Bolo bolo
MAA
Pahunch gaya wo college. Ab wo to
karega nahi baat, ek baar aap hi
kar lijiye phone usse.
PAPA
Yaar abhi... achha thik hai main
karta hoon.
Phone gets disconnected.

EXT. COLLEGE - DAY
Raman is walking inside the main door. The guard asks to
check his document. Raman is carrying 3 different size
luggage, which he is facing difficulty in. So, when he is to
pick the document from one of the luggage, he seems to have
forgotten in which he put it in. As he is trying to find, his
phone starts to ring. ‘Papa’ it says. Raman sighs in
disappointment, and ignores the call, and keeps on searching
for the document.
Meanwhile the phone keeps on ringing. After a minute he finds
the document and hands it over to the guard. And then
irritated, he picks up the call.
RAMAN
Kya hai Papa, pehle zabardasti bhej
bhi do college, aur phir chain se
jaane bhi nahi de rahe ho.
PAPA
Zabardasti? Bheekh maangne par to
tera admission liya un logon ne. Ek
form to tujhse bhara nahi gaya,
aaya hai chain se college jaane wal-
RAMAN
Arre yaar..
Raman disconnects the call.
He looks back and the guards returns his document. He walks
to the main building.
EXT. COLLEGE STAGE - NIGHT
Seniors have gathered the freshers.
SENIOR 1
Aaj 5 din ke baad bhi tumlog darr
rahe ho?
SENIOR 2
Bro ek naya aaya, sala late lateef.
SENIOR 1
Hein? Kidhar hai?
SENIOR 2
(to Senior 3)
Kya naam hai uska?

SENIOR 3
Raman.
SENIOR 2
Haan, Raman. Kidhar hai lodu?
Raman is looking down. Senior 2 finds him in the crowd and
walks aggressively towards him.
SENIOR 2 (CONT'D)
Saale bula raha
We look at the anti-ragging poster.
SENIOR 2 (CONT'D)
(v.o.)
Hoon tab se, samajh nahi aa raha.
Ham chutiye baithe hain yahan.
Saala madharchod.
INT. RAMAN’S ROOM - NIGHT
Raman walks inside, almost crying. But he is more angry than
sad. Furiously, he picks up the phone and dials ‘Papa’.
RAMAN
(murmurs)
Sab aapke wajah se hua hai. Sab
aapke wajah se.
Tears roll downs his cheeks.
A montage of the next few nights, where Raman comes inside
the room, crying, and goes straight to the bed. As well as
the days, where he is seen walking through the corridors,
where he is getting bullied. Seniors calls him by different
names in front of everyone, beats him whenever they like,
makes him stumble and fall on the floor, etc.
INT. RAMAN'S ROOM - NIGHT
Raman is sitting on the bed, looking blankly at a wall. His
roommate, is sitting on another bed, listening to songs on
his headphone.
Raman looks at the bedsheet, which is vertically rolled to
look like a thick rope. Then he looks at the fan up above.
And then he looks at his roommate. It looks like he is
waiting for his mate to leave the room.
After a minute, mate gets up and wears trousers.

MATE
Aaj to chal le, Pankaj ka birthday
hai.
Raman shakes his head.
MATE (CONT'D)
Chal koi na. Kuchh din mein jab
sutte ki aadat lagegi, to khud hi
dauda-dauda aaega.
Mate smiles and picks up the cigarette box. Suddenly his
phone beeps for a notification. He picks up the phone and
looks at it for sometime.
MATE (CONT'D)
Ye cultural waale na, har waqt
kuchh na kuchh karte rehte hain. Ab
ek dance competition karwa rahe,
kal phir koi singing karwane lag
jaenge.
Mate laughs and leaves the room. Raman looks at the bedsheet
for some time.
He shakes his head, and picks up his phone.
We see him scrolling to the college unofficial group, where a
minimalist poster has been sent, informing all for a dance
competition.
Raman, looks away from the phone and starts to think.
