- Both units slightly low on freon most likely due to
improper charge at start up, or adjusting for line set
length.
- Fan speeds improperly set to manufacturer spec
for equipment size. Single stage equipment was
only operating on Y1 leaving fan speed at 70%.
Both units needed correction.
- once air volume and refrigerant was corrected,
unit 1 downstairs, had high super heat regulation.
Thermal expansion valve may need replaced or
corrected.
- both corrections needed, would have effected
system efficiency ratings and energy consumption.
