ABSTRACT

Climate Change points to a variation in the climate of planet Earth generated by

human action. It is necessary to explain three concepts, they are closely related
to each other, concepts that are not the same for example:Climate Change,
Global Warming or Climate Crisis. Global warming is the cause of climate
change, it is the increase in temperature on the planet. The climate crisis is the
cause of the increase in temperature directly with environmental degradation,
hence the natural disasters affecting extreme weather conditions, as well as
food insecurity and therefore the lack of water. Climate change has been
positioned throughout the world, making itself known by the different
Conferences of the Parties (COPs) that take place around the world and what is
of a binding nature.
This research focuses on the area of international relations, which was carried
out in order to analyze and evaluate the results obtained by the Plurinational
State of Bolivia in terms of climate change and its participation in the
Conference of Parties during the period 2016 - 2020, also identify the problems
and deficiencies of Law 835 (Paris Agreement), and analyze what the state
does to counteract the effects of climate change.
The research methodology used the qualitative, descriptive, exploratory
method, under the qualitative approach. The instrument (interview) was applied
to 5 experts , a representative sample for the object of study, whose results are
presented in tables and textually.
Bolivia's participation in the COPs is positive, they give proposals with concern
for caring for Earth. In this sense, Bolivia proposes NDCs commitments, in
accordance with the holistic development model to achieve "Living Well", based
on respect for Earth, integrating both mitigation and adaptation measures to
climate change and thus be able to contribute to the fight against climate
change, since it is a controversial issue and of constant concern worldwide.
