Project Title:
Brightening the Future: Providing Fans, Lighting for Schools and provision
of wall clock
1. Introduction
As a passionate advocate for both education and aesthetics, I propose a pet project aimed at
enhancing the ambiance and functionality of our campus. The project entails the installation of
ceiling fans, wall clocks and adequate lighting to create a more comfortable and inviting space
for various school events, including beauty pageants, assemblies, and performances.
2. Acknowledgement

AWARD NIGHT. This platform has helped in improving the educational environment of our
dear Institute.
3. Project overview
This project aims to provide a conducive learning environment for students of University of
Nigeria, Enugu campus. Recognizing the transformative power of education and the essence
of how learning in a conducive environment facilitates the performance of any student. The
project will provide resources and support to help students achieve their full potential. This
initiative aligns with the core values of the beauty pageant by fostering confidence, leadership,
and community service
This project will further enhance the learning environment of UNN, Enugu campus by
installing fans, wall clocks and lighting systems. By improving classroom conditions, we aim
to foster a more conducive and comfortable atmosphere for students, ultimately enhancing their
educational experience and overall well-being.
4. OBJECTIVES
• Improving Comfort: Installing ceiling fans will help regulate temperature and airflow
in the auditorium, creating a more comfortable environment for students, lecturers, and
guests during events and academic activities.
• Enhancing Aesthetics: Proper lighting plays a crucial role in enhancing the visual
appeal of the campus. By installing adequate lighting fixtures, we aim to create a well-
lit and attractive space that reflects the school's commitment to excellence. Also, the
installation of beautiful timepiece around the campus will enhance and improve the way
students, lecturers use their time.
• Facilitating Events: The upgraded auditorium will serve as a versatile venue for
hosting a wide range of events, including beauty pageants, talent shows, seminars, and
cultural performances. The addition of fans and lighting will provide essential amenities
for these activities
5. Scope of Work:
1. Ceiling Fans Installation: Procurement and installation of high-quality ceiling fans to
ensure efficient air circulation and cooling in the auditorium. The number of fans and
their placement will be determined based on the size and layout of the space.
Lighting Fixtures Upgrade: Assessment of the existing lighting system and
identification of areas requiring improvement. Installation of energy-efficient LED
lighting fixtures to provide adequate illumination and enhance the visual appeal of the
auditorium.
2. Electrical Wiring and Infrastructure: Evaluation of the electrical infrastructure to
support the installation of fans and lighting fixtures. Upgrading wiring, switches, and
outlets as needed to ensure safe and reliable operation.
3. Safety Measures: Implementation of safety measures, including proper grounding,
circuit protection, and adherence to building codes and regulations, to minimize the risk
of electrical hazards.
4. Project Management: Coordination of procurement, installation, and testing phases to
ensure timely completion of the project within the allocated budget and resources.
6. Project Justification
1. Current Conditions: Many classrooms lack proper ventilation and lighting, making it
difficult for students to concentrate and perform well academically.
2. Health Concerns: Poor air circulation can lead to heat-related illnesses, while inadequate
lighting can cause eye strain and headaches.
3. Educational Impact: Studies have shown that a comfortable learning environment
significantly improves student focus, participation, and overall academic achievement.
4. Community Support: This project will demonstrate the community’s commitment to
supporting local education and enhancing the school’s infrastructure.
7. Implementation Plan
Phase 1: Planning and Preparation
• Conduct needs assessment to identify target classrooms, lecture theatres and areas
needed.
• Establish partnerships with schools, local NGOs, and community organizations.
• Recruit volunteers and staff to assist with project activities.
Phase 2: Launch and Execution
• Execution of the program.
• Conduct the first round of visibility studies to pin- point areas that will be needing such
facilities.
Phase 3: Monitoring and Evaluation (Ongoing)
• Regularly monitor the progress of the project.
• Collect feedback from students and residents of the campus.
• Adjust and improve the project based on feedback and observed outcomes.
8. Budget:
The estimated budget for the pet project includes costs for:
• Ceiling fans procurement and installation (2) 18,000 naira for each = 36,000 naira
• Lighting fixtures procurement and installation =
40 light bulbs @ 500 naira for each = 20,000 naira
20 lamp holders @ 200 naira for each =8,000 naira
• Electrical wiring and infrastructure upgrades = 10, 000 naira
• Safety equipment and measures = 15, 000 naira
• Contingency fund for unforeseen expenses = 5,000 naira
• Provision of wall clocks (3) @ 5,000 naira for one = 15,000 naira

9. Expected Outcomes:
Enhanced Learning Environment: A well-ventilated and well-lit auditorium creates a

school and community events, fostering greater collaboration and camaraderie among students,
faculty, and parents.
Beautification and Pride: Investing in the beautification of the auditorium demonstrates the
school's commitment to aesthetics and excellence, instilling a sense of pride and ownership
among stakeholders.
Multi-Purpose Facility: The improved auditorium will cater to a diverse range of events and

10. Project Plan
