Answer: The sum of 245 and 378 is 623.

2. How do you add two-digit numbers, for example, 56 and 78?

Answer: To add two-digit numbers like 56 and 78:

 Add the ones place digits: 6 + 8 = 14. Write down 4 and carry over 1.
 Add the tens place digits along with the carried over 1: 5 + 7 + 1 = 13. Write down 3 and

Answer: You can check if your addition is correct by:

 Re-adding the numbers to ensure you get the same sum.

 Adding the numbers in reverse order (commutative property of addition).
 Using a calculator for verification.

For example, to check the sum of 245 and 378: 245 + 378 = 623. Now, add in reverse: 378 + 245
= 623. Both methods give the same result, confirming the addition is correct.
