How different sensory stimuli impact consumer perceptions, emotions, and

purchase intentions. Different sensory stimuli can have a significant

impact on consumer perceptions, emotions and purchase intentions. For instance, smell and
taste are key factors in shaping consumer perception and purchasing decisions in the food
and beverage industry. In a study, researchers found that consumers' sensory experiences,
including taste, smell and texture, influenced their intention to purchase food products (Lobb,
Mazzocchi, & Traill, 2007).

In the fashion industry, the tactile experience of touch influences consumer perception and
purchasing decisions. A study conducted by researchers revealed that the tactile experience
of a product has a significant effect on consumers' emotional response, and influences their
perception of its quality (Spence et al., 2014).

Moreover, the visual component of sensory marketing is also important in shaping consumer
behaviour. For example, pleasant ambient scents and music in retail stores have been
shown to positively impact consumers' emotional responses, leading to increased spending
intentions (Morrin & Ratneshwar, 2003).

In conclusion, understanding the role of sensory marketing across various industries is

crucial for companies to create immersive brand experiences that influence consumer
behaviour. By leveraging different sensory stimuli, marketers can create emotional
connections with consumers and encourage purchase behaviour.
