Global warming is one of the world’s
biggest problems. Global warming is
the rising of the average temperature of
Earth's climate system. Global warming
causes a lot of problems for a living
thing. These are some of the global
warming’s impacts:
ARGUMENT :
the reasons or the facts that support
the thesis
First, the rising of sea levels around the world. When the
temperature of the atmosphere increases, the temperature
of the ocean surface layer also increases. As a result, the
volume of seawater will increase due to the effect of
anomalous water, and the sea level will also be higher.
Secondly, as a result of global warming, the polar ice has
melted (especially around Greenland). The melting ice also
increases the volume of seawater on the earth. During the
20th century, sea levels around the world has increased by
about 10-25 cm. Scientists have also predicted that in the
21st century sea level will continue to rise about 9-88 cm.
Third, due to the unstable climate during the
process of global warming, the northern part of
the Earth will heat up more quickly than other
areas. This will cause many icebergs to melt,
and the land in the area will shrink. The
amount of ice floating in the northern waters
will be reduced. As a result, a region that was
experiencing light snowfall may someday no
longer experience it due to global warming.
Fourth, is the extinction of a large number of
species, one of the examples of endangered
animals is polar bears. In 2006, the population of
polar bears in the world was only 25,000 tails. So,
they are categorized as endangered animals. Polar
bears use ice floes as the foundation for hunting
seals. With global warming, the sea of ice at the
North Pole is melting faster and impact on polar
bear hunting. If they continue to fail to obtain food,
they threaten to starve to death because they do
not have the energy to hunt for food.
RECOMMENDATION : some suggestions or
solutions to try
Responding to the impact of global
warming, we should prevent global
warming by saving the use of energy
such as turning off the light when we do
not use it. We also can do a million
trees planting.
