One issue with the distribution system is the company’s tardiness in providing tires to the
dealer who then sells to customers to the corporation provides tyre only when they are
adequate order, the transport truck to be fully loaded. Why can’t the surrounding businesses
band together to send the tires in a single transport vehicle, saving the customers time?
Customer who are travel long distances would profit to avoid wasting time on the phone,
customer should submit an online request for a tire to the dealer and cc to the business.

In this study the author is trying to show that tyre industry is one such industry which was not
prone to much change even after liberalization the incumbent remain to be same even after
liberalization cornering a major portion of the market sales. This study is based on empirical
approach of structure conduct performance paradigm which studies an industry performance
on the basis of the two former variables.

70% of the input costs, put pressure on the finances of most tyres companies.

The Indian automotive industry is expanding to become one of the fastest growing markets
in the world. Many of the global and local tyre manufactures are expanding their
manufacturing facilities to cater to this growing demand.

dumping ground for cheap and low quality tyres, especially from China. With domestic
production costs high, it is difficult for Indian tyres manufactures to compete with such tyres.
 Imbalance in tax structure
The import of raw material at 20% duty, and the 8-10% duty on tyre imports is an
imbalance that is bound to affect the Indian tyres manufacturing in terms of efficient and
competition.
 Entrance of new players:
New companies especially from foreign countries are now entering the Indian market. They
have advanced technologies when compared to Indian tyres companies.
