Torque Converters
NEW PARTS SERVICE FOR TORQUE CONVERTERS IS AT THE BASIC (ROTATING) TORQUE CONVERTER LEVEL. REMANUFACTURED
TORQUE CONVERTER GROUPS ARE SERVICED WITH THE OUTER (STATIONARY) HOUSING ASSEMBLY (COVER AS.), AND ALL VALVES
AND PUMPS THAT MOUNT DIRECTLY TO THE TORQUE CONVERTER GROUP TO FACILITATE A FASTER INSTALLATION. FOR EXAMPLE,
0R4072 REMANUFACTURED TORQUE CONVERTER GROUP FOR 990 WHEEL LOADERS INCLUDES A REMANUFACTURED 6Y3889 TORQUE
CONVERTER GROUP, REMANUFACTURED 104-5013 RELIEF VALVE GROUP, REMANUFACTURED 6Y6977 GEAR PUMP GROUP, AND
REMANUFACTURED 8E8427 BASIC VALVE GROUP. TORQUE CONVERTER CORES MUST BE RETURNED WITH THE VALVES AND PUMPS
MOUNTED TO THE TORQUE CONVERTER GROUP.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING CHART:
1. Find chart for the type of equipment being serviced.
2. Select the model of vehicle.
3. Determine the correct vehicle serial number range.
4. The new part number listed is the part number of the current torque converter with housing. The reman part number is the number of the
remanufactured torque converter group which services that torque converter. The remanufactured torque converter group includes any major product
improvements that have been incorporated for that vehicle.
5. Acceptable cores include new part numbers listed for a specific reman part number, the reman part number and any part number listed in the
“Other Acceptable Core” column for that reman part number. The amount of core credit may be different for each part number. Cores returned
without shipping stands are subject to an add charge.
