RATIONALE:
Puro Fisherfolks and Farmers Agriculture Cooperative aims to revolutionize the local agricultural
landscape by establishing a marketplace that directly connects farmers with consumers. In today's food
industry, the disconnect between producers and consumers often results in challenges such as unfair
pricing for farmers and limited access to fresh, high-quality produce for consumers. By creating a
platform where farmers can sell directly to consumers, Puro Fisherfolks and Farmers Agriculture
Cooperative seeks to address these issues while promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering local
communities.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Connect Farmers and Consumers: The primary objective of Puro Cooperative is to establish a
robust marketplace that allows local farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers. This
direct connection ensures fair prices for producers and provides consumers with access to fresh,
high-quality farm products.
2. Promote Transparent Pricing: By offering transparency in pricing, Puro Cooperative aims to
create trust between farmers and consumers. This ensures that farmers receive fair compensation
for their products and consumers understand the value they are getting.
3. Provide Convenience: Puro Cooperative seeks to make it convenient for consumers to access a
variety of farm products in one place. This eliminates the need for multiple trips to different
markets and promotes a one-stop shopping experience.
IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES:
1. Sourcing and Product Offerings:
Establish partnerships with local farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and suppliers to
source a diverse range of farm produce.
Offer a variety of products including rice, eggs, vegetables, fish, seafood, pork, chicken,
and seasonal items based on availability.
2. Transparent Pricing Model:
Implement a pricing model that ensures fair compensation for farmers while offering
competitive prices to consumers.
Prices will be determined based on market rates, production costs, and fair-trade
practices.
3. Marketing and Promotion:
Develop marketing campaigns to raise awareness about Puro Cooperative and its
benefits.
Promote the convenience of shopping for fresh farm products online or at designated
pickup points.
4. Quality Assurance:
Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure all products meet the highest
standards of freshness and safety.
Provide product certifications and guarantees to build trust with consumers.

The mark-up percentages are justifiable based on market analysis, competition, and the need for
the cooperative's financial sustainability.
They are subject to periodic review to ensure competitiveness and fairness for both farmers and
consumers.

Additional revenue will come from premium services such as express delivery, bulk
ordering discounts, and subscription models.
3. Financial Sustainability:
The business model is designed to be financially sustainable, ensuring that operational
costs are covered while maintaining fair pricing for farmers and consumers.
Regular financial reviews and budget assessments will be conducted to optimize revenue
and expenses.

approach to connecting farmers with consumers through a transparent and fair marketplace. By offering
