Input/Output Single way The Intelligent Solution

Interface Module (NI-301)

GENERAL
NI301 Intelligent addressable single input/output module. A single volt free relay

with N/O and N/C change over contact, that can be driven under the control of the fire

alarm controller. Commonly used for overriding equipment such as AHU’s, Smoke

extracts, Lift returns etc. The single input can be linked through a volt free contact

switch output of ancillary equipment for reporting at the fire alarm controller.

According to the pre-inputted cause and effects linkage programming, the alarm

controller sends out a start command to the equipment qualified for starting. After

receiving the command, the module activates its relay to change state. Once the

equipment under control has operated a confirmation signal can be sent back to the

fire alarm controller.

2. Features
FEATURES
NI-301 module has a pair of normally open contacts, a pair of normally closed

output contacts and a pair of normally open input contacts (can be changed into

normally closed input contacts through the electronic coder although factory set as

normally open input contacts). The module has a capacity of 5A, DC24V, and is

connected with the fire alarm controller through the addressable loop. The module

has an action indicator, which flashes under the normal condition and which is

illuminated constantly after the fire alarm controller sends out a start signal. The

input signal to the module should be the passive (volt Free) signal from the

equipment in locale and can be set as a start up information command or as a

confirmation of operation signal.

The code capability of NI301 module is up to 240, and the way of coding is

electronic coding, which is simple, convenient and quick with the NP910 type

electronic coder. Connect the coder with module signal bus terminal, input code

number and press “Code” key. The following is the examples of the coding, reading

code and re-coding.

Coding in the state of “power on” (the screen displaying “0”) when coding (i.e.)“120”,
press the digital keys of“1”,”2 ”,”0”, the screen will display “120”, then press “Code”
key to install address.

Reading code in the state of “power on”, press “Read Code” key, the screen will display
the addressable code number of the detector.

Re-coding the same way as coding. That is, input the coding number in the state of

“power on”, then press “Code” key.
