3.1 Installation of Ros From an Image File .


If you havean Image file for the computerthen put the CD in the CD readerandput the .
Boot Floppy in the floppy-drive andPoweron the computer. .'
The Imageprogramwill then guide you throughthe processof restoringthe image. ;.:

NOTE: If the Hard-Dischasdefects,it is not possibleto restorean Image.

3.2 LAN Ethernet-Card Set-Up


3 COM card should be [Link] install both cards before Power on to get
right IRQ adress,so net A cameon the sameposition on all ROS. Net card must be
installedwith TCP/IP protocol.

3.3 Computer Name


To set up the computerin a Network it hasto get specifiedname. To set up computer
name do following: Start menu, Settings, Control Panel, Network. Under folder
Identification, the computer name must be [Link] number one should have
name:ROS1 Stationnumbertwo shouldhavename:ROS2,etc.
In Workgroup,type in ROS.

3.4 IP Adress
To set up the ROS for dual net a specifiedIP addressmust be insertedfor eachLAN
card. Do following to set IP address:Start menu, Settings,Control Panel, Network.
Under folder Protocols,selectadapterto that LAN cardyou want to configure

operating,alarmprinted,buzzersandother alarmindication devices.

4.3.2 Shutdown of ROS stations


The ROS stationsmay needto be shut down, e.g. in caseof electrical [Link]
avoid risk of systemmalfunction,the following procedureshallbe followed: ..

. On ROS1, minimize the DC C20 Main Screen by clicking on the window's


minimize button. .-

. Startthe programCopyDB by double-clickingits icon on the ROS screen.

front
