Types of GST
1. Regular Scheme :-
• Returns to be filled on monthly basis.
• Interstate supply is allowed.
• Two Return to be filled on monthly basis that is GSTR1 & GST3B.
• GSTR1-Detailed Sale data is uploaded.
• GST3B-Sale Purchase consolidated data is uploaded
• Difference between tax at time of purchase and at time of sale will
be paid by the customer.
• How to calculate GST.
=GST Collected on sale – (GST paid on purchase + GST
paid on business expenses)
Note:- If Value comes in positive then tax is payable, If Value comes
in negative then you have advance tax in your ledger which can be
used in next month.
Types of GST
2. Composition Scheme :-
• Returns to be filled on Quarterly basis.
• Interstate supply not allowed.
• Not allowed to collect State Food License GST from
Customer.
• 1% is payable on trading & retail.
• 6% payable on service sector.
• No adjustment of Taxes on purchase and Expense.
Note:- All restaurants, Dhabas, Food services, Taxi services,
Tour & travel has to pay 5% GST on sale (No matter they
choose any GST scheme). These sectors don’t get any benefit
of ITC(Input tax credit).

Regular scheme.

Composition scheme if purchases high then opt for

INCOME TAX RETURN

How to calculate income tax
-As per Old regime
• Income - 2.5 Lacs to 5 Lacs – 5%
• Income – 5 Lacs to 10 Lacs – 20%
• Income – 10 Lacs to 50 Lacs – 30% + 4% Education
cess.
• Income 50 Lacs to 1cr – 30% + 4% Education cess +
Surcharge 10% of income tax.
• Income more than 1cr – 30% + 4% Education cess +
Surcharge 15% of income tax.
How to calculate income tax
-As per New regime

Note:- No Deduction is allowed under the new tax regime
Deductions under Income tax
• ATC - Investment made in PPF, EPF, LIC, Principal
repayment of housing loan, Tution fees, Sukanya smriddhi
yojana (Maximum deduction allowed under ATC is 1.5 lacs).
• Section 80CCD - Investment made in National pension
scheme (Maximum deduction allowed 50,000).
• Section 80 TTA – Maximum Rs 10,000 Deduction allowed
coming form saving interest.
• Section 80 TTB – Maximum Rs 50,000 Deduction allowed
coming form Deposits interest (only for senior citizens).
• Section80G – Donations to any NGO, Trust, Non profit
organization.(No Limit)
• Section 80GG - House rent allowance maximum 60000
Deductions under Income tax
• Section 80E - Deduction for Interest on Education Loan for
Higher Studies.(No limit).
• Section 80D - A deduction of Rs. 25,000 can be claimed for
health insurance of self, spouse and dependent children.
• Section 80DD - Deduction for Rehabilitation of
Handicapped Dependent Relative (Maximum can be
claimed 125000).
• Section 80DDB - Deduction for Medical Expenditure on
Self or Dependent Relative ((Maximum can be claimed
40,000 & Senior Citizen-60,000 & Super senior-80,000).
• Section 80U - Deduction for Person suffering from Physical
Disability.
TDS-TAX DEDUCTED AT SOURCE
TDS :- It is a tax deducted at source. It is normally deducted on
salary, interest from Fixed Deposits, payment made to contractors,
foreign fees deposits, Car purchase more than 10 Lakhs etc.
Salaried person cannot deduct TDS for making any payment to
anyone.
Payer to deduct the TDS only if the turnover of the payer is above 1
crore. There are many cases where TDS is deducted but 4 cases
are listed below:-
1. Salary:- TDS deducted as per income tax slab rates.
2. Professional staff:- If payment is more than 30k/year than Payer
will deduct 10% from the payment.
3. Contract:- If payment is more than 1 lakh/year or a single
payment is more than 30k than payer will deduct 1% from the
payment.
4. Rent:- If Payment is more than 2.4 Lakhs/year than Payer will
deduct 10% from the payment.(TDS to be deducted monthly).
FIRM REGISTRATION
It is an registration of a firm. Firm registration to be done
when you a start a new business. It is mandatory for all
the shops and commercial establishments to register
under shop act. It is also mandatory to open current
account.
Types of registration:-
1. Proprietorship Firm – It is registered under shop act
establishment act. It is a single owner firm.
2. Partnership Firm – When a firm is run by more than
1 person.

MSME REGISTRATION
It is an additional proof of registration of a firm/Company.
This registration is mandatory to apply for govt tenders and
for business loans. Different department has been made for
people registered under MSME incase of any dispute
between seller and buyer. No govt fees to register firm.

FOOD LICENSE
FSSAI- Food safety and standard authority of India. It is
mandatory for all the food vending establishments . i.e. Dhaba ,
restaurants and food manufacturing units.
There are 3 types of Food License.
• Basic Food License – For T.O. less than 12 Lakh
• State Food License – For T.O. between 12 Lakh - 20 crore
• Central Food License – For T.O. above 20 crores

It is a brand name registration so that the brand name can
not be used by other company or person. Logo is also
registered under the registration.

Registration ?

buying trademark)
3. 100Rs stamp paper
IMPORT EXPORT LICENSE
This License is mandatory if any export of goods or
services is to be made to foreign countries.

It is a type of registration where share holding take place and
