Course Description: Ethics deals with principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the
level of the person, society, and in interaction with the environment and
other shared resources.
Morality pertains to the standards of right and wrong that an individual
originally picks up from the community. The course discusses the context
and principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of
individual, society, and interaction with the environment and other shared
resources. The course teaches students to make moral decisions by
using dominant moral frameworks and by applying

dealing with various philosophical issues.

Course Number and Name: FORENSIC 5 (Polygraphy)

Course Description: Lie detection and interrogation. It covers the methods and techniques of
conduction polygraph examination and other conventional methods
detecting deception. The focus of the study is on the uses of the
polygraph instrument and the standard procedures of polygraph
examination including modern deception detection techniques.
Course Objective: 1. Understand the early methods of detecting deception
2. Understand the concept of developing the polygraph machine as an
aide in the conduct of investigation
3. Explain and familiarized themselves with the four major component of
the polygraph machine.

Course Number and Name: LEA 3 (INDUSTRIAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT AND
CONCEPTS)
Schedule and Hours: TTH 11:00-12:30AM
Course Description: The course covers the organizational set-up, administration and operation
of security agencies, special police and investigation agencies and deals
with the study of Private Security Agency Law and its implementing rules
and regulation; loss prevention and assets protection program; and the
different methods and techniques used by security agencies in their law
enforcement activities.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Explain the legal basis on industrial security in the Philippines;
2. Explain the different types as well as the three (3) major divisions
of security;
3. Memorize the professional code of ethics and code of conduct for
security personnel and security agencies, as well as the general
orders for security guards;
4. Discuss the qualifications, attributes, functions and the different
types of security agencies authorized by law;
5. Identify the authorized ranks, positions and staffing patterns of
security agencies; and
Discuss the different methods and techniques employed in the
management of security agencies.

Course Number and Name: CDI 8 (Technical Writing English 2 – Legal Forms)
Schedule and Hours: TTH 2:30-4:00PM
Course Description: Training in investigative report writing including the structure and format of
making reports and feasibility studies. It covers fundamentals and styles
of report writing: form and contents of police reports, including simple
legal forms; manner of handling standard police forms; technique
sequences of blotter entries; preparation of arrest and crime reports;
fundamentals of records management and the Decimal System of reports
and documents filing; study of Uniform Crime Reports and care and
custody of confidential files; criminal statistics and wanted forms (carpeta
and its contents and formats); the follow-up control system; and the use
of electronic processing.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students are expected to:
1. Identify crime examples;
2. Justify the reasons why Police Officers should be adept in writing
Police Reports; and
3. Differentiate the different types of Police Reports.

Course Number and Name: PE 4 (Fundamentals of Marksmanship and Combat Shooting)
Schedule and Hours: Wednesday 1:00PM-3:00PM
Course Description: The course covers the fundamental of marksmanship, the proper
handling and procedure of marksmanship specifically its safety and know the different firing
stance and arm style in firing a weapon/gun. It includes the relevant law on firearms and their
related special laws, and awareness in carrying firearms outside residence based on RA 10591
for prosecution of cases.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students are expected to:
1. Basic understanding on the overview of what is Fundamentals
2. Basic understanding about Firearms
3. Basic understanding about Firearms laws, rules and regulations
4. Familiarization to the Basic Gun Safety Rules
5. To know the Firing Range Rules and Regulations, Safety Equipment
and Range Safety and Etiquette
6. Practical exercises on Disassembly/Assembly of 9 MM caliber pistol,
including long arm firearm
7. Understanding on Combat Marksmanship
