A sampling distribution is a probability distribution of a statistic that is
obtained through repeated sampling of a specific population.
It describes a range of possible outcomes for a statistic, such as the mean or
mode of some variable, of a population.
The majority of data analyzed by researchers are actually samples, not
populations.
Mean is the average of all of the numbers. Median is the middle number, when in
order. Mode is the most common number. Range is the largest number minus the
smallest number.
μ x – sample mean
N - the total population
n - is the sample to be taken out of the population
To check if your answer is correct: (step 5)
Frequency must be equal to N
Probability must be equal to 1
μ x = ∑ [ X∗P ( X ) ] – Summation of the sample mean times its corresponding
probability
