gsh Mint leaf 1/2 oz Honey syrup (3:1)

1 1/2 oz Tanqueray Gin

Procedure Time of day


1) Prepare a mint leaf garnish
2) Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker - except
the champagne Aperitif / Evening
3) Top with cubed ice & shake for 10 seconds
4) Open & dip taste
5) Collect a Riedel sour glass from the fridge Style
6) Measure champage into it
8) Fine strain
9) Carefully position the mint leaf garnish on top Light ~ Floral ~ Aromatic
10) Rinse equipment & replace

Selling Points
1) The Southside was a classic gin-based cocktail (gin, mint, lemon, sugar) from this
bygone era that is the prefect base for Silver Note's signature serve.
2) Tanqueray Gin has been chosen as this had been a revelation since its launch in the
United States during the early 20th century.
3) By using popular ingredients from jazz's birthplace, New Orlean's (absinthe), we
highlight the floral and herbaceous nuances of this cocktail whilst staying true to its
heart.
4) We add final flourishes of other classics from this time including the Bee Knees (honey)
and French 75 (champagne).

1) Chill the glass & put to one side
2) Prepare garnish
2) Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker Aperitif / Evening
3) Dry shake for 10 seconds
4) Add ice
5) Shake for 10 seconds Style
6) Discard ice

Selling Points
1) This modern, fruity libation was inspired by the following Prohibition era cocktails:
i. Harlem (Gin, Luxardo Marashino, Pineapple)
ii. Clover Club (Gin, Dry Vermouth, Raspberry, Lemon, Sugar, Egg White)
2) We have replaced fresh raspberry with Bræmble Gin Liqueur which provides a rich and
fruity mix of hedgerow blackberries intermingled with classic juniper & citrus.
3) Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a delicious sipping rum with hints of cacao, vanilla and
demerara
4) The drink is a homage to The Cotton Club, Harlem’s most prominent nightclub during
the Prohibition era, delivered some of the greatest music legends of the Jazz Age
— Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Fletcher Henderson, Ethel Waters, the Nicolas
Brothers.

Selling Points
1) A 21st century White Lady (Gin, Cointreau, Lemon, Egg White - optional).
2) Two of the 20th centuries most famous bartenders lay claim to this timeless classic.
i. Harry MacElhone. His 1919 recipe originally called for crème de menthe instead of gin,
though he allegedly switched to the juniper spirit in 1929 when he moved to Harry’s
New York Bar in Paris.
ii. Harry Craddock, who printed the recognised recipe in The Savoy Cocktail Club Book
(1930).
3) We have by replaced Tanqueray Gin with its citrus-laden cousin Tanqueray No.10
4) Italicus is a modern bergamot laced Italian aperitif, the perfect substitute for Cointreau

1) A low-abv Swizzle that will certainly have you in a spin.
2) In Guyana, in the early 1800s, British ex-pats would enjoy a jug of swizzle on the
terrace of the Georgetown club. The mixture of rum, lime and bitters would be mixed
with a long five-pronged swizzle stick made out of a branch pulled from a local tree.
3) This cocktail making action is meant to mimick the immensly popular Charleston dance
of the 1920s and celebrates the cities favourite beverage, Madiera wine.
4) In the 18th century, Madiera was the premier wine imported into the Thirteen Colonies.
It had ab air of gentility making it a favorite beverage of the Founding Fathers and well-
to-do colonists.
5) South Carolinians held the wine in high esteem, particularly in Charleston — the self-
designated capital of Madeira consumption.

Procedure Time of day


1) Prepare an orange twist garnish
2) Collect a highball glass
3) Add all ingredients into it - ginger ale All Day / Evening
4) Fill with cubed ice & stir for 5 seconds
5) Top with Fever-Tree Ginger Ale
6) Lightly churn to integrate all of the ingredients Style
7) Dip taste & top with further ice if required
8) Add one drop of oak smoke
9) Twist & place the orange zest on top of the drink Bright ~ Complex ~ Smoke

1) A cognac laced highball with layers of smoke & spice that is the perfect accompaniment
for a relaxing evening listening to jazz next to a roaring fire.
2) The spread of jazz was encouraged by the introduction of large-scale radio broadcasts
in 1922, which meant Americans were able to experience different styles of music
without physically visiting a jazz club.
3) The radio provided Americans with a trendy new avenue for exploring the world through
broadcasts and concerts from the comfort of their living room.

5) Add a drop of oak smoke into the top of the drink

Selling Points
1) A non-alcoholic twist on one of Prohibition's favourite classics - the Boulevardier.
2) It was inspired by Eliot Ness was an American Prohibition-era law enforcement agent.
He was best known for leading a special Chicago task force known as “The
Untouchables,” whose mission was to bring down the infamous gangster Al Capone.
2) Æcorn is a range of non-alcoholic aperitifs from Seedlip. Using a base of verjus - juice
from unripened grapes - they have added a variety of herbs, roots and even acorns to
create pre-dinner drinks that awaken the appetite.
3) Lyre's American Malt is A smooth, sweet non-alcoholic spirit inspired by classic bourbon
whiskies.

1) Rum & high rye bourbpn are blended together in our signature Old Fashioned.
2) The original Scarface, Al Capone was probably the most notorious and famous criminal
of the Prohibition era that controlled Chicago's illegal alcohol market by bootlegging
Canadian rye whiskey.
3) Sailor William McCoy transported $8 cases of the liquor from the Bahamas to Martha's
Vineyard on his ship the Arethusa, making $300,000 in profit for each trip. McCoy's
liquor was genuine imported spirits — and not homemade swill or moonshine — but
imitators tried to claim their illicit drink was "The Real McCoy."
4) Bogart's Bitters can arguably be said to have started the cocktail movement as it was
the first ever mentioned bitters in the very first cocktail book published in 1862.

3) Add the non-carbonated ingredients (first 2) All day / aperitif

1) A non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz - a perfect aperitif recommendation
