Introduction to Feasibility Study

Project Background and Rationale

We all know that consuming fewer animal products can

have a big impact on your health, planet and farm animal

welfare. A vegan is a stricter vegetarian who also avoids

consuming dairy, eggs, and any other ingredients derived

from animals. Vegan diets appeared a little more recently,

but have been getting a good amount of press.

Estimating the global vegan population is a hefty task;

however, data suggest that there are approximately 79

million vegans worldwide. With the global population rising

to 7.8 billion, the percentage of the vegan population is

not as significant (Fitzgerald, 2022).

The growing focus on reducing greenhouse emissions,

eliminating meat for following a cruelty-free lifestyle

along with climate change has directly affected people's

food choices. This has led to the number of vegan

restaurants growing in the world. Restaurants not having

vegan menus are observing a decline in sales.

The proposed project wants a vegan restaurant that

exclusively serves plant-based food, free from any animal

products or by-products such as meat, dairy, eggs, and

honey. Our Vegan restaurant offer a variety of dishes

ranging from soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps to

burgers, pizzas, pastas, and desserts—all made entirely from

ingredients derived from plants. This establishment cater to

individuals who follow a vegan lifestyle for ethical,

environmental, or health reasons, providing them with

options that align with their dietary choices. Additionally,

our vegan restaurant also prioritizes sustainability by

using organic and locally sourced ingredients whenever

possible.

This restaurant will play important roles in our

society especially in dietary diversity, health promotion,

ethical considerations, environmental sustainability,

cultural shift and community building. We would like to

offer a diverse range of plant-based dishes, encouraging

people to explore new ingredients and flavours. This can

help promote a more varied and balanced diet meal plan.

Many plant-based foods are rich in essential nutrients,

fiber, and antioxidants, which can contribute to overall

health and well-being. The proposed project will provide

options for those customers who are seeking healthier meal

choices. For individuals concerned about animal welfare, our

restaurant will provide a guilt-free dining experience by

offering meals that are free from animal products and

cruelty. Animal agriculture is a significant contributor to

environmental issues such as deforestation, greenhouse gas

emissions, and water pollution. By promoting plant-based

eating, this proposed project will contribute to reducing

the environmental impact of food production. The presence of

vegan restaurants helps normalize plant-based eating and

promotes awareness about the environmental and ethical

implications of food choices. This can lead to a broader

cultural shift towards more sustainable and compassionate

food systems here in Roxas city Capiz. This establishment

will serve as gathering places for like-minded individuals,

Overall, this proposed project which is a vegan

restaurant will play a vital role in promoting healthier,

more sustainable, and ethically conscious food choices,

contributing to a more compassionate and environmentally

friendly society.

Objective of the Study

The general objective of the proposed project is to

determine the management, marketing, technical, financial

and social feasibility of a vegan restaurant in the Province

of Capiz.

Description of the Proposed Project

VeganBite restaurant is an establishment that

exclusively serves plant-based soups, salads, sandwiches,

and wraps to burgers, pizzas, pastas, and desserts, avoiding

all animal products such as meat, dairy, eggs, and honey.

VeganBite restaurant will offer a diverse range of

dishes that showcase the versatility of plant-based

ingredients. You can find everything from fresh salads and

soups to wrap and healthy burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, pasta

dishes, and guilt-free desserts, all crafted without the use

of animal products. VeganBite restaurant prioritizes the use

of fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal produce to create

flavourful and nutritious meals. This emphasis on quality

ingredients enhances the taste and nutritional value of the

dishes. Our project vegan restaurant is proud in creative

approach to plant-based cooking. We experiment with

different cooking techniques, spices, and flavour

combinations to create unique and satisfying meals that

appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. VeganBite restaurant

offer healthier alternatives to traditional dishes, focusing

on whole foods and minimizing the use of processed

ingredients. You'll find dishes that are low in saturated

fat, cholesterol-free, and rich in vitamins, minerals, and

fiber. Since vegan cuisine excludes common allergens like

dairy and eggs, VeganBite restaurant will have a safe dining

option for individuals with food allergies or intolerances.

We will also accommodate other dietary restrictions such as

VeganBite restaurant project is a first ever restaurant

in Roxas city, who will offer purely vegan menu. Everybody

knows that Roxas city is known as the seafood capital of the

Philippines, so we thought of something different and unique

in the area. Seafood restaurants are left and right, so we

want to be the first restaurant to offer and promote

veganism in Roxas city Capiz.

Vegan restaurant proposed project will offer and cater

vegan community and as well as, people who want to try and

maybe soon convert into being vegan. Vegan restaurant will

serve delicious vegan food such as, mouth-watering vegan

menu. The menu of this project will prove that eating

healthy is not boring because we will offer delicious and

unique recipes.

Overall, VeganBite restaurant offers a culinary

experience that celebrates the abundance and deliciousness

of plant-based cuisine while promoting ethical,

environmental, and health-conscious values while contribute

to promoting healthier, more sustainable, and ethically

conscious food choices and celebrating the rich culinary

traditions of the Philippines.

The name of the proposed project is VeganBite Restaurant.

This is to convey the message of the restaurant loud and clear to

the market to start a cruelty-free lifestyle or diet. A clear

message in a business name is crucial for effective branding and

communication with customers. This business name provides a

clear indication of the products or services offered, making it

easier for customers to understand what the business does and

what to expect. We choose a business name that has clarity and

relevance to the offerings that can help attract the right

audience and differentiate our brand in the market.

The proposed project will be at Baybay beach Roxas City

it is located 3 kilometers from the city. The proponent

chose this location because Roxas City is the capital of

Capiz, which means accessibility. It will be accessible by

tricycle ride or private cars from various entry points. It

is just hours away from Iloilo City, and from Caticlan,

Malay, and Kalibo in Aklan and just a minute away from the

airport. Hosts several tourist attractions, cottages,

hotels, and resorts are widely available in the area not

only to tourists but also to workers wanting to balance the

office pressures with nature’s and food indulgences.

Business and leisure travellers will enjoy a portfolio of

historical shrines to visit, beaches, good food, and

festivities.

Baybay beach is a popular foodie destination with fine

and ebony sand, facing the Sibuyan Sea. Here, one can watch

the beautiful sun as it rises in the morning and as it set

in the afternoon. It is also known as La Playa de Roxas.

Because of its proximity to the city, Baybay beach is a

default hangout for visitors and locals. It has a more

beautified and improved people’s park who offer a lot of

water activities, and a touristic recreational area prefect

for vegan restaurants. The infrastructure development in the

city is active and growing. The place is highly viable for

eco-tourism because of its location, culture and, a

strategically positions itself as such.
