General Information About Windmill

2. This is working model of Windmill.


3. A windmill is a mechanical device.
4. Windmills are usually placed on top of the hill or mountains.
5. They are places in a windy place.
6. Windmills are also called wind turbines. They produce electricity.

Explanation about Windmill working model

7. They are tall towers topped with blades.


8. The blades are connected to a vertical shaft or rod.
9. Blades rotate due to wind and they in turn rotate the shaft.
10. The turning shaft provides power to a machine called a generator.
11. The generator produce electricity by converting mechanical energy into electrical energy.
12. We use that electrical energy in our houses or streetlights.
13. Like you can see the windmill is moving and generating lights , these streetlights are lighten up.

Importance of Windmill

14. Windmills are very important since they provide a way to produce electricity without causing
pollution, which is a healthier option for us and for the earth.
15. Wind power is a renewable source of energy, which means that it will not run out!
16. The energy made by windmills can be used in many ways. These include grinding grain or spices,
pumping water and sawing wood etc.
