PREFECT INTERVIEW
1. Question: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Answer: I am a dedicated and responsible student who has served as a class monitor. I am
passionate about contributing positively to our school community.
2. Question: Why do you want to be a prefect?
Answer: I want to be a prefect because I believe I can make a positive impact on our school
environment and help create a supportive atmosphere for all students.
3. Question: What qualities do you think a good prefect should have?
Answer: A good prefect should be responsible, respectful, and approachable. They should also
have good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
4. Question: Can you give an example of a time when you showed leadership?
Answer: As a class monitor, I was responsible for maintaining order and discipline in the
classroom. I took this role seriously and always tried to lead by example.
5. Question: How would you handle a conflict between two students?
Answer: I would listen to both sides of the story, encourage open communication, and help
them find a resolution that is fair to both parties.

Answer: I would promote school spirit by participating in and supporting school events, and
encouraging other students to do the same.

Answer: I would remind the student of the rules in a respectful manner and explain why it’s
important to follow them. If the behavior continues, I would report the situation to a teacher.

Answer: I would like to see more opportunities for student involvement in decision-making
processes, to ensure that all voices are heard.
9. Question: How do you handle stress and pressure?
Answer: I handle stress by staying organized, prioritizing tasks, and taking breaks when
needed. I also find that physical activity and spending time with friends helps me to relax.
10. Question: What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Answer: My strengths include my dedication, responsibility, and ability to work well with
others. As for weaknesses, I am working on improving my time management skills.
11. Question: How would you encourage inclusivity in the school?
Answer: I would encourage inclusivity by promoting respect for all students, regardless of
their background or abilities. I would also advocate for activities and events that celebrate
diversity.

Answer: I view criticism as an opportunity to learn and improve. I would listen carefully,
reflect on the feedback, and take appropriate steps to improve.
13. Question: Can you describe a time when you had to make a difficult decision?
Answer: As a class monitor, I once had to report a friend for breaking the rules. It was a
difficult decision, but I knew it was the right thing to do.

Answer: The most challenging part of being a prefect might be balancing academic
responsibilities with the duties of the prefect role. However, I believe with good time
management, it’s a challenge I can handle.

Answer: It would be difficult, but I would remind my friend about the importance of following
school rules. If the behavior continues, I would have to report it to a teacher.

understanding the purpose of rules can motivate students to follow them.
