Statement of Purpose

Charles Babbage, father of the computer, has always inspired me. He originated the concept of a digital
programmable computer. We are currently in the midst of a fourth industrial revolution, one that is driven by
artificial intelligent and big data. Because of the rising digitization of our environment, we now have access to more
data than ever before. As a Generation Z kid, I was fortunate enough to experience the recent technical
developments as well as software evolutions. In order to improve my future, I now wish to increase my knowledge
about technologies. To fulfill my objective, I've enrolled in the International College of Manitoba to complete the
University Transfer Program (UTP Stage II in Science) which will lead to the second year of Bachelor of Science in
the University of Manitoba where I want to take Computer Science as my major.
I graduated from Baniachang Adarsha High School in 2018 with a 5.00 GPA on my SSC exam. Even though I took
the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) exam in 2020, the COVID pandemic kept our country in lockdown
for more than a year. Every educational institution was shut down entirely as a result of this. So, with a GPA of 5.00
out of 5.00, I once again passed the HSC exam in 2021 from Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College. I
enrolled at Metropolitan University to finish my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering after clearing
the HSC test. But soon I realized that the curriculum lacked fundamental understandings. The curriculum is more
focused on theory rather than any practical experience. That’s why I decided to pursue my higher study in a
Canadian University so that I can experience world-class education. I started taking preparation for my IELTS exam
to prove my English proficiency. Eventually, I sat for IELTS exam and secured a good score.
I did thorough research to decide which University to select and came to the conclusion that the International
College of Manitoba is the best place for me to start my studies before transferring to the University of Manitoba.
The International College of Manitoba offers reasonable tuition fees and low living costs due to the abundance of
benefits offered to international students. The International College of Manitoba struck me as a novel pathway for
international students seeking admission to a world-class university such as the University of Manitoba. The First
University in western Canada is the University of Manitoba. The University of Manitoba also provides a wide range
of degree programs, opportunities for scholarships, the ability to improve graduates' employment prospects, and
significant contributions and discoveries in well-known fields. The educational system of Manitoba is cutting-edge,
with award-winning faculty and contemporary facilities. The University offers more than 100 degrees, diplomas,
and certificates. The university has a vibrant university community with more than 30,000 students, 8,700 teachers
and staff, and 190,000 alumni. Because of its reputation abroad, Manitoba is a top choice for international students.
Comparatively speaking to other Canadian provinces, Manitoba has an advantage in that it provides affordable
education. As a result, I will graduate from the prestigious University of Manitoba with a bachelor's degree while
paying one of the lowest tuition costs in Canada. These are the reasons behind why I chose to finish my
undergraduate studies at ICM before going to the University of Manitoba.
I have enrolled myself in the University Transfer Program (UTP Stage II) at the International College of Manitoba.
The UTP Stage II is a pathway to the second year of the Bachelor’s program at the University of Manitoba. I chose
this program based on my English language skills and my academic background. The program will enable me to
take advantage of the benefits of institutions, like lower class sizes, greater access to professors, cost-effective
tuition, and a more intimate setting. Before enrolling in a university to take the more challenging courses, I will
have the opportunity to get used to university-level academics in a small atmosphere. Since it will provide me with
a solid foundation before I begin studying my chosen subject, this program is essential for me.
Canada's top-notch educational system draws in international students. Both colleges and universities in Canada
offer very high levels of teaching. Depending on their qualifications and requirements, students can choose from a
number of universities. Whether it is engineering, IT, healthcare, agriculture, mining, or any other sector,
colleges, and universities in Canada offer an extensive selection of degrees. Research and development are also

prioritized in the Canadian educational system. Universities in Canada work with a variety of business partners to
improve research and development. This enables the students to use their knowledge in practical settings.
Furthermore, Canada’s tuition fees are much less than that of the US, the UK, and Australia. These are some key
considerations that persuaded me to continue my education in Canada.
Bangladesh strives to become a developed country in South Asia by expanding its software development sector. In
Bangladesh, there are a number of government and private colleges and universities that offer the Computer
Science Engineering program I wish to pursue in Canada. But due to a shortage of IT infrastructure and advanced
technology, they are mostly devoted to the theoretical side of computers. These institutions barely offer any hand-
on experience to students which would help them better grip the employment sectors. Realizing these facts, I
decided to continue my study in Canada. I will have a variety of job alternatives in my native country once I have
earned my bachelor's degree in my chosen subject in Canada. I chose to pursue my Computer Science course in
Canada because I was aware of the high demand for technocrats who can stay at the forefront of organizational
duties. I intend to work as a software engineer for one of Bangladesh's well-known IT companies when I return. By
expanding local IT industries, I hope to help Bangladesh's IT sector prosper. I will stand out from the crowd
because a Canadian degree is highly regarded in Bangladesh. The Canadian degree will also enable me to obtain a
prestigious position and salary.
My family is very close-knit, and we have an unbreakable tie. My mother is a stay-at-home mom, while my father is
a businessman. My mother instills in me the values of kindness, piousness, civic responsibility, ethics, and
prioritizing my family. However, my father taught me how to deal with the outside world, how to be independent,
and how to be a clever street person, so I never felt afraid by anything. I should seek my higher education abroad,
as my family has urged, so that I might have a better career back in my native nation. In addition, I will be
responsible for taking care of my parents. My current way of life is because to my father, who has dedicated his
entire life to developing a successful business. On the other side, my mother has always been our family's rock, and
the two of them together have served as both a strong foundation for our family and its greatest strength. Now that
they are backing me, I must come back and make them happy. As a result, once I've finished my studies, I don't see
any incentive to stay in Canada. Because I have a Canadian degree, which is highly regarded in my country, and will
be more knowledgeable than the other job applicants, I think I will have a better career and life in my native
country.
