ethical hacking is for everyone who is using digital
information, smartphones and computers. To protect
your information from hackers, you need know how
hacking is done. That is why I am sharing my
knowledge of such tools on this channel.
Android RAT
Android RAT stands for Android Remote
Administration Tool. It is a software that allows
hackers to access and control Android devices
remotely without the user’s permission or
knowledge .
Android RAT Types
There are many types of Android RATs available on the
internet, some of them are open source and some are
paid. Some of the popular ones are AhMyth, Ghost,
AndroRAT, CraxsRAT, DogeRAT, AIRAVAT, Ohm,
Teardroid and RAFEL.
Scope of Android RAT
Android RATs can perform various malicious activities on
the target device, such as spying on text messages, calls,
contacts, photos, videos, location, microphone, camera,
clipboard, browser history, keystrokes, etc.
They can also execute commands, install or uninstall apps,
send SMS or make calls, steal files or data, encrypt or
decrypt files, etc .
Attack Vector

Android RATs usually work by creating a trojan app that contains

the RAT payload and binding it with a legitimate app. The hacker
then tricks the user into installing the trojan app on their device.
Once installed, the app connects to a remote server controlled by
the hacker and grants them full access to the device .
Protection / Prevention

Android RATs can be detected and removed by using

antivirus or anti-malware software, checking for
suspicious apps or permissions, disabling unknown
sources or USB debugging, updating the device’s OS and
security patches, etc.
