Methodology and Methods

1.1 Introduction

Often, well-designed instructions save money and time, and by implementing actions
according to the developed template could lead to productive results (Morrison et al,
2001). This study is intended to create step-by-step methodology of making Teal
organization model, where the focus of management style promotes democratic
attitudes, wholeness and self-organization of employees (Ruthowska, 2020).
Making findings on research questions, first, it is necessary to identify and find common
obstacles and pitfalls that prevent the creation of this concept. Secondly, it is important
to identify the root cause of these barriers and define if this organizational structure is
universal one and whether it is suitable for all businesses or it depends on market niche.
Eventually, based on the identified data, it will be developed countermeasures in the
form of step-by-step instructions for successful implementation Teal model.
This learning can be a valuable, as it may help those companies which want to
implement these principles in their structure. Also, at least, it will allow to extend the
choice of existing forms of organizations for running businesses.

1.2 Research Design

In recent decades, the world has been changing towards democratic management
styles, and companies are realizing that it is necessary to change the structure of
employees’ engagements (Wyrzykowska, 2020). That is why the topic of the Teal model
is popular now, and there are enough materials in open assess. In order to find answers
for research questions it will be used secondary research approach with qualitative data
analysis such as words, images, experiences and observations that are not quantified
(O’Leary, 2021). Also, it will be partly positivist approach, where testing of hypotheses
and observations analyzed help to drive the outcome (Majeed, 2020). In terms of using
research approach, it will be appropriate to manage a deductive technique as gathering
materials will be investigated for common similarities and then it will lead to logical
conclusion from general to specific. At the same time, the overview of the existing works
will help to highlight the common Generalizability, which is refer to the ‘applicability’ of
any research findings and study’s results that can be generalized to the larger scale
(Parveen et. al., 2017).
1.3 Research Methods
In this secondary research there will be observed academic works like articles, journals,
research reports, academic database and books. It will allow to find up-to-date
information and current debates in research topic, which are typically written by experts
or authorities in a specific field. Academic sources strive to present information
objectively, without personal bias or opinion and rely on empirical evidence to support
claims.
Case study research is defined as a qualitative approach in which the investigator
explores a real-life, contemporary bounded system (a case) or multiple bound systems
(cases) over time, through detailed, in-depth data collection involving multiple sources
of information, and reports a case description and case themes. Alpi et. al., 2019). For
deep understanding research questions there will be analyzed real case studies that
could finally develop answers and recommendations.
In addition, to see theory subject from another side it will be offered to look at own
author’s observation that was provided in his own company when he tried to implement
Teal model. Observation a systematic method of data collection that relies on a
researcher's ability to gather data through his or her senses. The technique that was
used in this observation was participant (insiders who decide to study their own group)
covert (allowing researchers to ‘spy’ and observe unfeigned behaviors) unstructured
(observers attempt to record data without predetermined criteria) one (O’Leary, 2021).
Concerning ethical considerations, received information will show the author's correct
meaning, what he was really trying to convey, and not taken out of context and distort
the meaning. Moreover, there will be delivered referencing and citations, and will be
taken into account the risk of prejudiced or skewed information resulting from data
pooling. Regarding data collected from observation it would be better not to disclose
confidential information about the name of the company where it was carried out.

1.4 Conclusion
In summary, it is important to mention that combination of qualitative approach of
secondary sources and partly positivist approach will help to dive deeper into the topic,
to make generalizable inferences, replication of findings, and finally critical evaluation
will create methodology on successful implementation of Teal model.
