Hello everyone,
I would like to change the fan on my RS 20i. I know
some people have made the modification and I
would like some help to find out which fan you have
installed and if there is any special handling!!

What’ s the purpose of replacing the fan..? Are you
looking for a quieter/more efficient fan or what..?
I may ne interested as well, since the RS20i
is quite noisy if installed in the living room, it should
be placed ideally in a different room..
Not as noisy as the amps though, those are VERY
noisy.

Yes I find it a little noisy because it is 1m from my
ears!!
I'm looking for a quieter fan

Hi Thierry
I immediately replaced the standard fan because of
noise, with a Noctua NF-S12B FLX.
Have been using them for years in desktop
computers...
From what I remember the airflow rate is similar to
the standard mounted fan.

Hi hfunder,
Thank you very much for your answer and your help
for replacing the fan.
Your NOCTUA reference is replaced by the NF-S12A
FLX if other Datasat owners wish to change the fan.
