1880842 - RSP Requirements for TCP/IP Communication

Version 15 Type SAP Business One Notes
Language English Master Language English
Priority Recommendations/additional info Category FAQ
Release Status Released for Customer Released On 28.06.2021
Component SBO-RSP ( remote support platform for SAP Business One )

Please find the original document at [Link] 1880842

Symptom

To allow communication between the remote support platform for SAP Business One and SAP Backend, in
some environments it is necessary to further define configuration, for example, the firewall rules.

Solution

Make sure that you are using the latest available version and patch level of the remote support platform for
SAP Business One (RSP).

Refer to [Link] or configure RSP so that it upgrades itself

automatically.

1. For external communication, TCP/IP protocol and ports 80 and 443 need to be open (80 and 443 are
standard ports for browsing the Internet). Port 80 is used for testing the Internet functionality and, as
such, is not required for communication with SAP. Port 443 is used for communication with SAP.
The remote support platform for SAP Business One itself (as of version 3.2) uses the following URLs.
SAP's backend uses several IP's for loadbalancing purposes, which might change over time. That is
why Server Admins should add the following URL's to their allowlist of the tool they use for controlling
the Internet access.
Afterwards & for testing purposes please use only the Internet Explorer for opening the following
pages. (see below for the explanations, why some URL's might respond in an unexpected way)
1.1 [Link] for testing the Internet functionality.
1.2 [Link] and [Link] to upload task results, or download
new and improved tasks.
1.3 [Link] and [Link] to
download SAP Business One related software patches.
1.4 [Link] to upload databases to SAP.
1.5 [Link] to open SAP notes from the RSP console.
1.6 The following domains must be reachable from the device participating in a “Citrix GoToAssist
Corporate” (GTA) session.
All “GoToAssist Corporate” software connections are outbound, requiring TCP connections to ports 80
or 443:
*.[Link]
*.[Link]
*.[Link]
*.[Link]
(Since GTA is launched via Internet browser, RSP as such is not neccessarily required. RSP just
includes scripts which make the booking of the GTA service easier.)
1.7 There might be one more URL in case the supporting partner has set up an own WebDAV server.
Note: Some of the URL's might respond something like

The service you requested is not available.

• The service may not exist or is not allowed to be accessed. Please check the URL.
• The system may be currently unavailable. Please get in touch with your contact at SAP SE.
OR
• Unauthorized. The server [Link] is asking for your username and password. The server
reports that it is from SAP WebDAV Server
Such responses are basically expected - because they confirm that the related SAP server can be
reached and are not blocked by anything.
2. Internally, RSP is communicating with the SQL Server instance. You can get the port from the SQL
Server instance.
The same applies to the Windows Service “RSP Agent Service”; the default port number is 48800.
