Alright tourist we are here in our first destination. Welcome to the Minor Basilica Parish of the
Immaculate Conception and Archidiocesan Shrine. So this church was made an independent
parish in 1614 under the advocation of the Immaculate Conception. It is one of the oldest
churches in [Link] you know that February 13, 1948, the church was declared a minor
basilica of the Immaculate Conception. The declaration was made upon the request of Lipa's
bishop The church has undergone several restorations. The second and third stories of the belfry
was completed in 1934. In 1936, the old windows were changed and 23 chandeliers were added.
The façade collapsed during the April 8, 1942 earthquake and was repaired between 1945 and
1946. In 1954, the exterior was painted with general repairs in 1957. The exterior was beautified
and the frescoes were retouched on the occasion of the centennial celebration.

Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation of Roman Catholic priest Fernando Suarez. Suarez got the
idea of developing a pilgrimage site from Hermilando Mandanas, a local politician and
acquaintance whom he met in 2006, where the priest could perform his faith healing work. Did
you know that 420 steps from the ground level to reach the crown but that is if the person opted
not to use any of the 3 elevators inside the monument. Monte Mria Shrine has a height of 98.15
meters or 322 feet)measured from the ground to the tip of the cross on top of its crown, it is the
