A: Good afternoon everyone. A Gentle reminder: For those who are here in the AVR, please turn your
cellphones off or you may put it on silent mode while those who are present in our online platform, please
stay muted during the program matter to avoid interference. You may invite your other colleagues by

K: We will now begin. Let’s commence our Interhospital Grandrounds 2023 with an Invocation, followed by
Pambansang awit, Philippine College of Physician hymn and Panatang Karangalan ng PCP.

K: Let us all welcome Dr. Victor Villareal, the Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine, Iloilo Doctors’
Hospital to give us his opening Remarks.

A:Thank you so much Doctor for that warm welcome, Doctor.

For our House rules and guidelines, please be reminded that:


1. Zoom in meeting will be locked in the moment the discussion of patient’s case begin
2. Questions will be submitted thru a chat box and must be specified and addressed directly to
IDH operator if there are any concerns.
3. Attendance will be solely based on online platform with video on to see the actual person
viewing the presentation. This will be counted by the PCP officers.
4. Also, we would like to apologize ahead for some of you, their videos might be turned off to
avoid technical problems.
5. During the discussion, each discussant will be given 2 minutes. A timer will be provided

Dr. Diosdado V. Amargo, MD:


K: He is a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Psychiatry and a Fellow of Philippine Psychiatric Association. He
graduated Masters in Management, Major in Business Management in 2015 at the University of the Philippines here
in Visayas. He had his Residency Training at General Adult Psychiatry in 2001 at West Visayas State University,
Iloilo City, Philippines. He is currently the Medical Specialist IV at that same Institution. He is also a member of the
Unified Research Ethics Review Committee at West Visayas State University. Let us welcome Dr. Diosdado V.

Dr. Margie Gayapa ME., DPSP,


A: She graduated Medicine at West Visayas State University. She finished her Residency Training in Combined
Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, National Kidney and Transplant Institute. She is a part time Medical Specialist at
West Visayas State University Medical Center. She is affiliated at WVSUMC, IMH, Medicus Medical Center and
MIHMC. Let us welcome Dr. Margie Gayapa

K: He graduated Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Biological Science at West Visayas State University La Paz,
Iloilo City. He also finished Doctor of Medicine at that same Institution. He had his residency training in Internal
Medicine at West Visayas State University Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine Jaro, Iloilo City. He is

A: For our first reactor, she finished her Doctor of Medicine at West Visayas State University and had her Post
Graduate Internship at Department of Health Postgraduate Internship Program. She had her residency training in
Internal Medicine at Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital. She had her Fellowship Training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and
Metabolism at University of Santo Tomas Hospital. A fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians and a
Diplomate of Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the Philippine
Medical Association, Philippine Thyroid Association, Osteoporosis Society of the Philippines Incorporated,
Philippine Society of Hypertension. She is currently the Training Officer of Iloilo Doctors' Hospital Department of
Internal Medicine and a faculty member of Iloilo Doctors' College of Medicine. She is the Board of Director of
Philippine College of Physicians- Western Visayas Panay Chapter.

Dr. Geoffrey Adelantar


K He finished Doctor of Medicine at Iloilo Doctors’ College of Medicine and had his Residency training at Iloilo
Doctors’ Hospital. He had his Fellowship in Adult Cardiology at Philippine Heart Center. He is an associate
Professor of internal Medicine and Physiology at Iloilo Doctors’ College of Medicine. He is the past President of the
Philippine Heart Association Western Visayas-Panay Chapter. Past-Chairman and Training Officer of Department
of Internal Medicine at Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital in the year 2018-2020. He is currently the Head, Cardiovascular
Section at Qualimed Hospital

A: He is a fellow of the Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Philippine College of Surgeons and Philippine
