I. A. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the discipline of social


work.

B. Performance standard: The learners should be able to demonstrate a high level of


understanding of the basic concepts social work through a group presentation of a situation in which
practitioners of social work collaborate to assist individuals, groups, or difficult situations (e.g post
disaster, Court hearing about separation of celebrity couple, cyber bullying).
C. Learning Competency: Identify the goals, scope of social work. (HUMSS_DIASS_12-le-16)
D. Specific Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Explain the meaning of social work.
2. Make a poster about social work.
3. Appreciate and relevance of social workers in the community.
