Program Plan (i.e.

Pagpili ng Pinuno/Choosing of Leaders)


Community Diagnosis:
Pangalan o titulo ng Programa: i.e Tanglaw Buhay: Noon, Ngayon at Magpakailanman
Panimula at Kadahilanan (rationale) ng programa:
- Since the inception of the organization, it has helped the ageing population with its programs on
health and wellness, livelihood and social services. This includes the number of members,
beneficiaries, and stories of that revolve around the community. However, there is a noted
difficulty accounting for these data.
- The goal of this project is to have a document that accounts for the processes, historical, and key
information about the organization. This document can also serve as a “reference point” for future
collaborations and projects.
Konsepto ng programa:
- The project aims to document key information about Tanglaw Buhay. This includes the
organizations history, its triumphs and difficulties as well as the stories that make the community
who they are. This also intends to be a consortium of accounts and stories from the elderly.
- This intends to collate existing information of the organization – including its history, past and
current project, officers and committees, members, partners and the communities that the
organization helped.
Hangarin o layunin ng programa:
- Long-Term Goal (LTG): To create a material that accounts for important key information about
Tanglaw Buhay
- Short-Term Goal (STG) 1: To collate existing resource materials of the organization in two
months
- STG2: In three months, the investigators would be able to record personal narratives and accounts
from the members regarding ageing and the organization
- STG 3: To be able to organize collected data in a narrative format
- STG 4: To present initial material and have the members validate the information
Mga Katuwang (partners or beneficiaries):
- Beneficiaries: Members of Tanglaw Buhay, Students, Student and Faculty Researchers, NGOs
and other institutions who would want to partner
- Direct beneficiaries: Members of Tanglaw Buhay (approximately 50, at St. John of God
Polyclinic and Center) – the material will serve as a directory of current members and more
importantly an actual document that records key information of the organization.
- Indirect beneficiaries: Student and Faculty Researchers (number of participants may vary,
affiliated school)– the developed material will provide both statistical (census) and subjective
information of the organization.
Mga istratehiya o pamamaraan (Implementing strategies):
- Review of related literature (Relating to STG1 - To collate existing resource materials of the
organization in two months (time depends on the program)
- Interviews with the members of the foundation (Relating to STG2 - In three months, the
investigators would be able to record personal narratives and accounts from the members
regarding ageing and the organization)
- Presentation, group evaluation (Relating to STG 3: To be able to organize collected data in a
narrative format, and STG 4: To present initial material and have the members validate the
information)
Mga kaugnay na programa (Sub-programs or components):
- Collection of information (RRL and interviews): January- May 2019
- Collate information: June-July 2019
- Presentation of working material, evaluation: August-September 2019
- Revisions and recommendations: October 2019
- Expected output: November 2019
Pangangasiwa sa programa (program management):
- The community development coordinator would be the main proponent of the project. The project
would necessitate logistical support – i.e. transcribing interviews, lay-out of material, which may
be obtained from student volunteers.
- The project would require the active participation of the Tanglaw Buhay officers among others.
They are expected to coordinate with the community development coordinator regarding possible
sessions to meet up, be key sources of information and logistical support (i.e setting up venue,
etc.)
Mga rekisitos o pangangailangan ng yaman (resources needed):
- The project would necessitate financial support for writing materials (focused group discussion),
reproducing costs for forms and resource material, snacks and tokens for the participants.
Mga isyu (na maaaring kaharapin)
- Lack of participation from the members of Tanglaw Buhay
- Some important documents might not be collected (i.e. lost, misplaced, etc.)
- Force majeure and other logistical issues
