Wyvernborn
Wyvernborn are a very seclusive culture, preferring to live on
mountain peaks and in massive forest canopies, anywhere
high up with a good vantage point. Wyvernborn are actually
decended from a collection of kobolds that found a genie
stuck in a bottle. The genie told the kobolds that he would
grant whatever wish they desire if they set him free. The
kobolds wished to "become like dragons," which the genie
interpreted to meaning that they wanted to be given forms
that where similar to some type of dragon. Unfortunately for
the kobolds, the only kind of dragon the genie had ever seen
was a wyvern.
Now, wyvernborn are content with their features, although
they are not as powerful as they planned, they do now have
poisonous tails and wings, which is a pretty good consolation
prize.
Culturally and mentally, wyvernborn are still kobolds, just
much larger and scarier.
