Postcard from another planet?

Space tourism could be closer than we think now
that the first rocket tests have been successful.
Buzz Aldrin, one of the first astronauts to go to the
Moon, once said ‘I know the sky is not the limit
because there are footprints on the Moon – and I
made some of them!’ For nearly all of us, the sky
really is the limit as only the lucky few will get to go
to space, but technology might change all that
sooner than we think.
The holiday industry makes a fortune from our love
of taking breaks. More and more people are
choosing to go to unusual destinations, not just to
relax but to experience how other people live, or
explore exotic surroundings. But could there be
anything more adventurous than visiting another
planet?
While it might seem like a distant dream, the first
tests of passenger rockets have been successful,
and some space companies predict they’ll be
sending tourists on space holidays within the next
ten years. It could mean a whole new way of taking
off on your holidays!
A holiday in space would be incredible, but it will
probably come at a price. A ticket might cost
hundreds of thousands of pounds, so start saving
now!
