Wearing coat = 100 mm thick with 1:2:4 cement concrete
Base course = 200 mm thick 1:2:4 R.C.C slab with reinforcement
Parapet Wall = 300 mm thick parapet 500mm height
Coping = 400 mm x 100 mm height
Foundation concrete = 1:3:6 cement concrete of 300 mm thick
Steel bars _ Main bars Top: 20 mm dia., @ 30 cm C/C Alt., bent up
Bottom: 20 mm dia., @ 30 cm C/C
Distribution bars – 10 mm dia., @ 25 cm C/C.
Slab Cover = 40 mm (top, bottom, side)
Abutment (Breast Wall)
Length of abutment = it is equal to the formation width of the road
Top width = 400 mm
Base width = 400 mm
Cement conc: block offset = 150 mm
Front face batter = Vertical
Height of abutment = 1.50 m (From top of foundation conc., to top of R.C.C slab)
Wing Wall
Length of wing wall = 1.20 m (From front face of abutment)
Wing wall are making 90 degree to the breast wall.
Top width = 400 mm
Base width = 400 mm
Cement conc: block offset = 150 mm
Front face batter = Vertical
Height of wing wall = 1.50 m (From top of foundation conc., to top of R.C.C slab)
Brick masonry in cement mortar 1:4
Exposed surfaces of brick masonry shall be cement pointed 1:2.

2. A box culvert has 3.4 m length of head wall and 1.2 m x 1.2 m R.C.C Box. The general
specifications and cross-section are given below.
Foundation concrete shall be of 1:1:1:6 Lime concrete and brickwork shall be of 1st class
in 1:6 cement sand mortar. Exposed surfaces shall be pointed with 1:2 cement sand mortar.
