75th Foundation Anniversary Script for Opening Program

(INTRODUCTION)
A joyful morning to each and every one of you!
JOEY: The month of March marks a special month in every LCCian’s
heart. Today, we welcome you all to the 75th Founding Anniversary
of La Consolacion College-Iriga, with this year’s theme, “Walking
Together with a Grateful Heart”. This day is indeed historic as it will
emphasize our school’s meritorious achievements through decades
and its bright years to look forward to. This is Ms. Kimberly Joey
Albalate…
PAT: Monumental indeed, Joey! If there’s one word to describe
what I am feeling right now, I feel like EXCITED would be an
understatement! Maybe, THRILLED and ECSTATIC would be the
more appropriate words to describe emotions here at the Patio. We,
have a lot in store for everyone so make sure to catch them all up as
we kickstart the school’s 75th Founding Anniversary! This is Mr.
Patrick Martinez…
JOEY & PAT: And we are your Masters of Ceremony for this
Morning!
JOEY: You know partner, I cannot wait to see the performances our
students will be presenting today. I heard that they will be dancing
while explicitly tackling current events and social issues, and I have
also heard that there will be a showcase of Philippine festivals our
students will present this morning as a tribute to our school’s
founding anniversary.
PAT: That’s right, partner! I am sure that this is no easy task to them.
These students have exerted great efforts to get to where they are
now. And here they are, more than ready to perform what they have
worked hard for, for days and weeks.
(PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ANTHEM)
JOEY: The heat and excitement are building up here in the patio. So,
without further much ado, to begin this auspicious occasion, may I
request everyone to stand for the Doxology and please remain
standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
PAT: You may now all be seated.
(OPENING SALVO)
PAT: The Color Guard is a non-musical section that provides
additional visual aspects to the performance. The purpose of the
color guard is to interpret the music that the marching band or drum
and bugle corps is playing via the synchronized work of flags, sabers,
rifles, the air blade, by dance, or by using non-traditional equipment
specific to the show theme.
JOEY: At this moment, brace yourself as we witness a special
presentation of the LCCI Majorettes-Color Guards as they showcase
their synchronized yet graceful moves through flag twirling. Let’s
give them a round of applause!
PAT: Wow! What a way to start our roster of performances for this
morning. Thank you LCCI Majorettes-Color Guards for that
astounding performance. This is just the start. We assure to
everyone that your eyes will be filled with the wonders and talents
that LCCIans will unleash as we go on with our program this
morning.
(MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT)
JOEY: Remembering the past and origin of our history is a
worthwhile task in order to renew and embrace our culture,
heritage, tradition, resources and the people. It gives us a sense of
pride and awareness of what we are. Celebrating founding
anniversary is a reminder of our glorious past, for it brings to mind
the rich culture, beauty, potential and wonders of our beloved
school.
JOEY: At this moment, to deliver her message, may I now call in
Sister Diosie T. Tanca-ag, OSA La Consolacion College of Rinconada-
President. Friends, Guests let us give her a round of applause!
PAT: Thank you very much, Sister Diosie for those warm words to
our community!
PAT: May I now call in Sister Angelita J. Sagun, OSA, Unified LLCD-
SFPS Talisay President, to address her Message. As one community
of friends, let us give sister Angelita a round of applause!
JOEY: Our gratitude Sister Angelita for gracing our school with your
presence and imbibing those values you have made mention to us
here at LCC-Iriga.
(MASS DEMO Grade 1-6)
JOEY: AND NOW!!! The moment you all have been waiting for has
finally arrived! Brace yourself as we witness different dances as we
move as one community. Uniting together, let your body move and
groove! As our elementary youngsters maneuver and portray
various current events and social issues on their mass demo
presentations. Let us start with the Grade 1 and 6 pupils. Let’s give
them a round of applause!

PAT: There you have it, Ladies and Gentlemen! Such a cute and
groovy performance right there by our Grade 1 & 6 pupils. Thank
you, cuties, and to their proud advisers.
JOEY: That’s right! Thank you, Pat! Anyway, let’s not keep them
waiting any longer, put your hands together for the Grade 2 and 5
pupils!
PAT: Reads the synopsis of the presentation
PAT: Let’s show our love one more time for the Grade 2 and 5
pupils’ for that creative and fun dance routines. True as the old
adage says, “You can dance, you can jive, while having the time of
your life.” That is clearly what the performances are serving by far.
JOEY: To our beloved audience, do you still want more?
JOEY: Worry not! Because we have more performances worth-
watching in store for everyone! As a matter of fact, I think that our
next performer is ready. On that note, please welcome with a round
of applause, the Grade 3 and 4 pupils!

JOEY: Wow! What a performance right there from our Grade 3 and 4
pupils! Once again, a round of applause please!
PAT: Partner, I’m lost for words. But, this is just the first 3
performances of today. By far, our performers have checked all
boxes from creativity, synchronization, and may I just add cuteness
of course!
(SPECIAL NUMBER NURSERY & KINDER)
JOEY: I agree, partner! Speaking of cuteness, our next performers
will serve the exact same thing to our viewers here at the Patio. So,
at this juncture, we now proceed to the presentation of our Nursery
and Kinder pupils with their special number. A round of applause
please!
JOEY: One more time for our Nursery and Kinder pupils! Good Job
kiddos!
(MASS DEMO G10-G12)
PAT: Joey, can you believe it? We are now halfway through on this
morning’s program. Yet, there’re still more to what our eyes
witnessed a while ago. So, stay where you are as we still have more
explosive performances from our talented students.
JOEY: That’s correct Pat! Our next performers did not come here to
play, but to open eyes on the present-day struggles that are
sometimes otherwise neglected. Witness the second batch of Mass
Demo presentations on their selected Social Issues with Grades 10,
11, 12. Let’s begin with, Grade 10 students!
JOEY: Reads the synopsis of the presentation
PAT: All I can say Joey, LCCIans got the moves and purpose. Inspiring
performance right there, Grade 10 students! Indeed, corruption
should stand no ground anywhere in the world.
JOEY: I agree, Sir Pat! And now, to keep the ball rolling. Let us now
witness the Mass Demo performance of Grade 11 students. Friends,
let’s give them a round of applause!

PAT: Bravo! Thank you Grade 11 students for that spot-on and
uplifting performance—a reminder to us that no gender is superior
over another. One more time for our Grade 11 students!
JOEY: Last but not the least for this category, let us welcome, the
Grade 12 students! The floor is yours.

PAT: Excellent and purposive performance right there, Grade 12
students! Once again, let’s give them a round of applause!

PAT: Let us now proceed to the last category for Mass Demo
presentations. Students of Grades 7,8, and 9 were tasked to come
up with a Mass Demo presentation of Festivals representing the 3
major islands of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao) and their
respective renowned religious festivals.
JOEY: This is the moment that we have all been waiting for! Witness
a colorful display of cultures, traditions with faith integration. Let us
begin with the Grade 7 Mass Demo presentation featuring
Penafrancia Festival of Naga City, Camarines Sur. Let’s give them a
round of applause!

PAT: Good Job! Grade 7 students for that performance. VIVA LA
VIRGEN! VIVA!
JOEY: Up next, we have, the Grade 8 Mass Demonstration
performance featuring Sinulog Festival of Cebu City, Cebu,

PAT: Thank you very much, Grade 8 students for that vibrant and
faith-bounded dance number. Viva Pit Senyor!
JOEY: Rounding up the Mass Demo presentations, we have the
grade 9 Mass Demonstration featuring the Kadayawan Festival of
Davao, Philippines. Let’s give them a round of applause!

PAT: Wow! What a way to conclude the Mass Demo presentations
for this morning. Good Job! Grade 9 students.
JOEY: And there you have it Ladies and Gentlemen! We have just
witnessed creativity, talent, and excellence of every LCCIan who
performed today. For the last time, let’s give them a resounding
applause!
(FINALE)
PAT: Dance has always been a part of human culture, rituals and
celebrations. Today, most dancing is about recreation, and self-
expression. Dancing is an enjoyable way to be more physically active
and stay fit. True as they say, “When you dance, your purpose is not
to get a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the
way.” At this interval, we shall now have the Finale Dance
presentation. As one community of friends let’s groove together
with the UNITY DANCE!
JOEY: That concludes our program this morning. I hope that you
guys enjoyed the performances this morning. This afternoon, we will
know who will be enthroned with the title King and Queen of
Diamond Jubilee. All that, and more at the school’s quadrangle. This
