TJ’s Ellipse
Item Comments
Strategy Break out or Counter Trend.
Introduction Scenario – After a strong up trend prices have reacted.
After a sustained up move, price tend to react. It is important for trader to know
whether the downtrend will stop and up move will resume (Counter Trend), or
down trend will continue (Break out). Ellipse formation helps in deciding long
term direction of price after price has retraced or vice versa.
Ellipses are plotted using most recent upswing. There are three ellipses.
Yellow -> Short Term, Blue -> Intermediate Term, White -> Long Term. Most
important is white ellipse for deciding long term price direction.
When Plotted, sometimes ellipses have a shadow and dotted line connecting it.
These ellipses and shadows dynamically reposition (update) as price changes over
time. When ellipse overlaps shadow then we call ellipse is locked and fulcrum
point is formed.
Once white ellipse is locked, it represents strong support point. From its fulcrum
point, price can make substantial movement in either direction.
While prices are reacting, if price pierces ellipse, but closes above it, then we say
ellipse is touched. When price closes within ellipse, we say ellipse is landed.
When price closes bellow ellipse, we say ellipse is broken.
Counter trend for Buy develops after ellipse is touched or landed and strength bar
appears. Breakout or continuation of down trend develops when ellipse is broken.
Drawing Ellipse One has to visually decide long term direction of the price move for which at least
60 bars should be plotted. Take immediate proceeding up swing (Low to High) in
the direction of last 60 bars.
There should be 12 bars in the swing plus 2 Pivot bars. There should be at least a
few colored bars not all Black bars. Swing Low has to be below RMA and Swing Hi
above BMA. When in doubt, draw from clear trend but always in the direction of
long term trend. If there are not enough bars, merge two swings. Current swing
cannot be inside previous swing in the same direction.
For original Up Trend , draw ellipse from bottom to Top , exclude minor Pivots
If P,J or I pivots collide ( fall at the same level) then go for the higher pivot while
drawing the ellipse.
Buy Break out Preceding Down Trend, followed by Rally ,white Ellipse locked, +ve change in XTL
Setup bar. Breakout confirms entry in W3
Signal Bar When price closes above ellipse - ellipse is broken.
Buy Trade Buy above High of Signal Bar
Stop Loss XTL sell
Target Pivot Hi, MOB
Buy Counter Trend Preceding Up trend, followed by reaction, white ellipse locked and ellipse is landed
Setup (Price touch or drop below ellipse but does not close below).
Signal Bar Buyer’s Bar
Higher High & Higher Low.
Bar with Buyer’s tendency ( close above Midpoint of Hi & Lo) still better.

Item Comments
Buy Trade Buy above Signal Bar
Stop Loss Bottom of Ellipse or XTL triggered sell
Target Previous High
Comments For Counter Trend – XTL confirmation is not needed. It is supposed to preempt
reversal so XTL may not have been triggered.
When Yellow, Blue & White ellipse are aligned in a row it represents very strong
resistance to price advance.
Usually when ellipse is broken, price movement happens immediately.
When ellipse is held, then original trend continues.
Do not change direction of drawing ellipse until white ellipse is broken.
Ellipse pattern gets negated when a new high compared to previous swing high is
made. At this point new ellipse can be drawn when new pivot point is created.
Improvisation To Trade Break Out Trade in Higher TF , use CT in lower TF
To trade CT in higher TF, use BO in lower TF
Option Strategy Buy ATM Straddle – C all + Put
If ellipse not broken , then on sellers bar – exit call , keep put
Target previous low or MOB
Alternatively Buy put on Sellers bar
Stop Loss - Bottom of Ellipse / close of Red MAV ./ XTL JTI in reverse direction
Bottom Picking XTL color does not matter.
Wait for Ellipse to test resistance
Buy on Buyer’s Bar
Stop Loss – Bottom of Ellipse / XTL triggered in reverse direction

Who’s in Control (WIC)
Item Comments
Strategy Counter Trend
Introduction It’s a short term Bottom Picking Strategy, usually Traded with buying Options to
minimize risk.
Buy Calls when prices are falling, so when trend changes, it gives substantial profit.
If it doesn’t then the loss is of Option Premium.
Call prices become cheap when price is falling .. so buy out of money option in dip
Target is usually reached in 5-to 17 bars
Configuration System is made up of three Osc. OSC 5/17, ( ST) OSC 5/35 (MT) & OSC 10/70 (LT)
and indicator line called Bull / Bear Grip
When Used For bottom picking, when price fall after a good run up.
Also used when looking for Higher TF Breakout signal
Setup OSC 10/70 is in Bull Grip.
OSC 5/17 or 5/35 mountain should be above Bull Grip line
OSC 5/17 or 5/35 in bellow Bull Grip line.
BIAS as additional confirmation.
Buy Rule Buy Call when OSC 5/17 or OSC 5/35 pull back to 90% of the peak
Buy Trade Buy 50% Call Option on 5/17 OPB at strike price at 40% of CMP & Target Price.
Buy 50% On 5/35 OPB
Or XTL + JTI break out from Option Chain
Buy in direction of 10/70
Target Mob , plotted from previous Pivot , or Previous High / Low
Exit Usually the target is reached in 5-17 bars in 5/17 WIC or in 35 bars in 5/35 WIC.
if target is not reached then close trade after 17 or 35 bars.
OR
When 5/17 bar after retracing to 0 goes in the bear grip AND
10/70 which was in Bull grip falls below Bull Grip
Stop Loss None for options – for Eq/Fu – Stochastic Sale or Ellipse break out from down side.
Comments After 5/17 if 5/35 also comes in WIC then extend the time frame to 35 bars for the
target.
Blue ellipse usually holds in WIC
Immediate Trend reversal is likely if , (a) Stock corrects in Time / Price and (b) Bar
color remains Blue.
When Major Trend is changing then WIC does not work.
WIC fails when trend reverses and prices decline further but Hold on as long as
10/70 is in Bull Grip
If recent mount of 5/17 , 5/35 OSC is lower than immediate preceding mount then
take 90% of the higher mount.
Can be traded without looking at the price chart.
Usually used in shorter time frame (75) , to avoid erosion of time value premium.
After a series of continuous winning WIC , reduce positions on subsequent trades
If WIC & Continuation both get triggered and Continuation doesn’t retrace to
0.318 level, then don’t take WIC trade. ( Not clear to understand)

Strategy Counter Trend
Introduction After a Bull run, when price take a breather without change in XTL color bar , it
indicates temporary pause or reaction but long term trend is intact. So Buy ATM or
40% of Target Call, to minimize risk
Configuration OSC 5/17, XTL
When Used After a brief reaction, in anticipation of price advance in W3 or W5 extn.
Setup 5/17 Pull back to 90% and mount above strength band
A minimum of 5 Falling Blue bars in XTL – All bars must be Blue,
price falling between 0.382 to 0.5 FIB retracement of the previous swing.
Buy Rule OSC 5/17 Pull back to 90%
Target MOB , in 5-17 bars
Exit When Price hits MOB
Stop Loss FIB Retracement level 0.618 on Intraday basis, CL past 0.5 level, close below
yellow ellipse if 0.318 is taken ( to understand)
Comments 10/70 in Bull Grip enhances chances of advance but its not mandatory
To trade in Eq / Fu , wait for Get Stochastic buy
Gets negated when bar color changes from Blue to Black/Red prior to trade
initiation.
BIAS
Item Comments
Strategy Confirmation Tool for Counter Trend Setup
Introduction BIAS are small triangle that appear on top or bottom of chart indicating a probable
change in Trend.
When Used Should not be used standalone, use as confirmation tool for WIC, Stochastic&
Turbo trades.
Confirmation for WIC & Continuation trades
Comments When trades executed with BIAS confirmation, probability of winning increases.
MOB & BIAS make good setup.
Avoid in situation when XTL black close above / below MA. Take Blue bar above
MA as signal bar
Tight sensitivity in setting of filter , buy triangle appears after a fall – respect it

GET Stochastic
Item Comments
Introduction Classical Stochastic with Over Bought (OB) / Over Sold (OS) band of 75 / 25, works
well in sideways market but fails in trending market by giving false exit signals.
GET Stochastic comes with indication of a false bar above OB/OS bands
False bar indicates continuation of Trend to make a new high or near a Top.
OB false bar is used to avoid selling when prices cross below OB level.
Stochastic is standalone tradable system
When Used To make timely entry / exit in trend.
Buy Setup No False OS False Bar at bottom, preceding FB at Top
Appearance of BIAS at Bottom of chart makes it strong signal.
Both Red & Blue line should cross from < 25 to > 25 and StochRSI should be > 25
Buy Entry Rule Stochastic %K & %D both curls up from below OS to above OS - 25 level
Confirmation of StochRSI curling above 25. That forms signal bar
Buy Trade Buy above High of Signal Bar
Stop Loss Lower Low 5 preceding bars / Pivot Low
Target MOB
Exit Buy Setup No False bar at top of OB band
Exit Signal Bar When both %K & %D leaves 75 level it forms signal bar .
For exit StochRSI confirmation is not required.
Sale Trade Sell below the low of Signal bar.
Comments Avoid trading when there are no false bars on either side, it signifies sideways
market. Sideways range is determined by lowest & highest price after false bar.
Change of Trend can be expected when (a) a false bar of just ( 1-2) bars appear at
the top, it indicates a top has been formed or (b) during OB False bar period if
prices fail to make a new high expect change in Trend.
If False bar appears and price does not make a new high, then the subsequent
signal in the same direction has lower probability of success.
After OB false bar, next three bars are Sellers Bar it signifies end of trend
False Bar at MOB, with falling price bars and Black XTL bars in past make an
excellent Top formation.
Minor Buy Signal, when Stochastic Curls Up form level between 25 & 50 trade can
be taken if it is supported by Proper StochRSI (Curled up from 25). Minor Buy must
be supported by FB.
In sideways market, there are no FB on either side, in such situation for breakout
use VAP, HA Zone Price Volume.
StochRSI
Item Comments
Strategy Confirmation Tool
Introduction Smoothens GET Stochastic to reduce whipsaws. Used only for entry not for exit.
When Used Provides confirmation for fresh entry using GET Stochastic. Not traded in isolation.
Buy Setup Curl up from 25 level
Comments If it curls up between 25 & 50 it is a minor BUY signal
Stochastic signal after FB , not confirmed by StochRSI , consider as reversal.

Volume at Price (VAP)
Item Comments
Strategy Tool to measure Support Resistance
Introduction Gives indication of how much volume is traded at every price for a given period.
The highest volume area is called Point of Control. This serves as a major hurdle. A
few bars above & bellow of similar size for High Volume Area
When Point of control breaks, wait for HVA to break
Once HVA is crossed price move rapidly in either direction.
Low volume area offer least resistance, and prices zip past such area.
Configuration Line Distance 75% - 100%
When Used There are two clear prior swings (excluding the current swing ) with P,J,I Pivots.
Each swings must have some Blue / Red bars
There has to be High Volume Area, Low Volume Area , Point of control

Make or Break ( MOB )
Item Comments
Strategy Price Target
Introduction When price crosses a Pivot ( P,J,I) market moves to Make or Break level ( MOB)
MOB can be plotted any after a Pivot is formed.
MOB is a Blue & Pink line horizontal Bar with three black colored vertical time
markers.
MOB is pending till the price doesn’t cross pivot, once it does the MOB is Open.
While MOB is pending, a black marker on the edge of MOB appears.
Price level of MOB remains fixed for Pending and open MOBs , however the time
markers may change till MOB is pending
W3, MOB is usually broken and price advance, whereas in W5 it usually holds and
price retrace.
Strategy is successful 8 out of 10 times.
When Used To take benefit of price hitting target when MOB is open.
Setup Presence of any MOB from P,J or I Pivots.
Buy Rule When Price crosses Pivot on Intra Day basis – with Blue bar
Trade On intraday basis not on high cross over.
Target Bottom, Middle or Top of MOB bar
Exit Book Part Profit ( 50% ) on hitting MOB
Balance - When Target is reached Or MOB period ends OR XTL+JTI Sell is
triggered.
Use lower time frame sell Break Out to reduce Loss
Book Profit W3 MOB, 50-60% because MOB are usually broken in W3
W5 MOB , 75-85%
Use bar behavior ( if broken with Black bar in W5, then exit fully) or raise SL to
MOB level for the balance quantity.
Stop Loss After hitting MOB, Low of Seller’s Sell Bar ( Red Square with 4 appears on True
High/Low pattern)
Comments Pivot break with Black Bar – Stay away.
MOB should be re plotted when the pivot is crossed , to get new Target with time.
If prices retrace after crossing Pivot, use the opportunity add position as it offers
better RRR and there are 80% chances of Hitting MOB.
New High usually comes in Blue. If it is in black color, then MOB is less likely to be
hit. JTI blank patch should be present
Buyer’s Buy High > Prev High, Low > Prev Low , CL in upper half of Bar Length , CL > Op
Seller’s Sale Low < Prev Low, High < Prev High , CL in lower half of Bar Length , CL < Op

XTL (Expert Trend Locator)
Item Comments
Strategy Break out
Introduction Expert Trend Locator (XTL) , works on Std. Deviation of Price
Indicator consists of colored Price bar and moving average band. Color and
position of Bar indicates strength / weakness of trend.
Blue = Bull , Black = Neutral , Red Bear, Blue Avg (BMA), Red Avg (RMA).
Close above BMA = Strength
Configuration 35 periods (default) BMA = 6 period Avg of High with 4 period offset, RMA = 6
period Avg of low with 4 period offset.
When Used Taking a long term position in the direction of trend, when color of the bar
changes for the first time, coupled with close above BMA.
Buy Setup There should be a prior triggered sell Signal or downtrend, without triggered sale
any positive change in color should not be considered.
Buy Rule +ve Change in Color : Red -> Black, Red->Blue, Black->Blue
Close above BMA ( Signal Bar) w.r.t Prior –Ve Color change bellow RMA
Take High / Low of preceding 3-4 bars to filter trades further.
Trade Any bar when High above Signal bar High
Target 2.5 x ATR , MOB , RA,RC,RD ( TJ’s Web on higher TF)
Exit Partial at above levels, Stop Loss , XTL sell , on appearance of Big Black Bar
Partial Exit on Stochastic Sell
Stop Loss Hump of RMA, after partial exit raise to Entry Price.
On un triggered sale , raise to low of the signal bar
On Add on XTL , raise to Next hump of RMA
Comments An up move in price does not necessarily result in XTL +ve color change
A +ve color change accompanied with significant upward price move, can indicate
a possible trend change.
Avoid trade if Large Black Bar , If Red->Blue bar with Gap , Large Stop Loss
situation ( Risk : Reward not favorable)
Big Black Bar indicates price advance can pause, and temporary top can be made.
Uptrend will continue only after price cross big black bar with Blue bar
New High with –ve Color change indicates trend exhaustion and possible change in
trend.
In Falling market, Red turns to Big Black Bar ( > 2xATR) it can lead to a possible
bottom formation.
Negative Change in color with Bar crossing RMA and Close > RMA should be
ignored. Close need to be < RMA
If in up trend bar sizes are similar then XTL may not give proper signal as it works
on StdDev , which requires different size of bars to give better result.
Blue to Red should be avoided as it leads to V shape reversal
Break out bar of earlier Up Signal bar holds even if the next bar is un triggered sale
and next BO bar is lower than the earlier.
1st BO bar remains even if colour changes but does not close above / bellow MA
Change of color in inside bar should be ignored.
Big Black bar – followed by Blue bar gets negated.

Introduction Same as XTL
Purpose Not to trade but raise the Stop Loss level
When Used After XTL Buy break out, to raise Stop Loss to next hump
Setup XTL buy followed by Un triggered Sell ( -ve change in color, close < Red Avg but
Low not broken.)
Buy Rule NA – Not to buy
Stop Loss Change original SL to new hump of Red Avg ,
XTL 1.5

Strategy Breakout
Introduction A strong Upward move can be expected after appearance of 1 st Blue Bar of recent
up trend. It confirms W3 entry.
Break out past 1.5 level signifies possible entry into an W3 impulse zone. Which
results in reaching Short term target of 2.618 level and Long term target of 4.618
level
Failure to cross 1.5 level and close below -0.5 level is a setup for XTL reversal
Trade. In case it happens, one should exit and enter Short.
Configuration Plot 1.5 , 2.61,4.61 levels of the 1st Blue Bar using Fib Extn. Tool
When Used To buy into impulse mode – rapid rise in price once it crosses 1.5 level
Setup 1st Blue break out bar or on Add on Bar , not on Black break out bar. Blue bar can
occur after black breakout bar.
Size of Blue bar should not be too small or too big , between 0.75 – 1.5 x of ATR (
21) . There should not be any Gap in breakout bar.
Bar has at least Avg or better than Avg volume
Buy Rule After price crosses 1.5 level , manage your entry closer to the stop
Target Intraday move past 1.5 level should take to 2.618 or 4.618 level
Exit Partly at 2.618 level, balance at 4.618n level
Stop Loss Close less than -0.5 level, sell below low of the bar.
after 2.618 level , raise to 1.5 level
Comments It takes roughly 10 -15 bars to reach 1.5 level and 20-40 bars to reach 2.618 level.
The time to reach target depends on color of JTI
Coupled with Ellipse break out and Strong JTI makes a strong up move.
Outside days are potential reversal days.

IF XTL+JTI is triggered after 1st Blue bar then 1.5 is drawn from that bar ( To check
and confirm)
Downside :
Dependent on single bar height. If the bar size small, check for other targets of
prior to 1.5 bar – like MOB
XTL Reversal
Item Comments
Introduction After 1st Blue Break Out bar , prices fail to cross 1.5 level and fall below -0.5 level,
it’s the possibility that the trend has changed
When Used When XTL 1.5 fails
Setup Close <-0.5 level with -ve change in Color
Buy Rule Close < RMA
Trade Any bar when Low below Signal bar Low
Target -2.618 of original Signal. On 1st Red Bar , Re Draw 1.5 to get new target.
Exit Same as XTL
Stop Loss Hump of BMA
Comments If the price fails to breach 1st Blue bar that failed to reach 1.5 level, then current
down trend is very strong.
If Target is not reached, then redraw 1.5 whenever new Red bar appears below
RMA adjust your targets.
