The Continuous Past Tense
Write the continuous past form of the verb in parentheses. If there is a “not” before the
verb in parentheses, write the negative form of the continuous past. if the sentence ends
with a question mark, use the subject in parentheses to write the interrogative form of
the continuous past.
Example of continuous past: At 6am this morning, I was exercising.
