of Luzon island. It covers 6
provinces namely Albay,
Camarines Norte,
Camarines Sur,
Catanduanes, Masbate,
and Sorsogon.
Bicol is also known as

The province is
generally mountainous
with scattered fertile
plains and valleys the
eastern part of the
province is a line of
volcanic mountains.

Albay is located in the Southeastern Luzon
Island. It is known for its lush volcanic
landscape, sun-kissed beaches, and spicy
cuisines. The province is also rich in
terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Legaspi
City is the capital of the province and it is
the largest city in Bicol Region.
Industries
Agriculture is the main industry in Albay,
which produces crops like coconut, rice,
sugar, and abaca. Handicrafts are the major
source of rural income and comprise a fairly
large share of the small-scale industry of the
province. Forestry, cemented production, and
paper-making are other sources of livelihood.

gateway to Bicolandia. Camarines Norte is
known as the Home of the First Rizal
Monument, century-old churches, cascading
waterfalls, and paradise-like islands. The
capital of Camarines Norte is Daet.
