The performance volume af the Flight Crew Operating Manual can be used to analyze a complete
fight plan and various other infight performance parameters. 1! is divided into five chapters which are
further broken down into more specific areas called subjects. The following is a list of the chapters
and subjects as they appear in the Flight Crew Operating Manual. A brief discussion follows each
chapier listing and very generally describes the purpose of that chapter.

‘The airport analysis chapter contains the computerized tabular airport analysis data for both takeoff
and landing, which are explicily computed for a specific set of airport conditions. This data is to be
furnished by the customer,
Pertormance charts are presented in both graphical and tabular form. Examples and “chase arounds”
accompany the various different types of charts to illustrate their use It is of the utmost importance
thal the charts be read thoroughly and accurately especially in the case of the “chase around,” multi-
variable charts. With this type of presentation, errors in reading can be cumulative, which will result in
large fmal errors. If there is any doubt regarding the correct usage of any chart, refer to its example
and the associated “chase around” for proper instruction.
It at any time a discrepancy is found between the Flight Crew Operating Manual and the FAA
I Approved Airplane Flight Manual, the data found in the AFM should be used.

PERFORMANCE AND OPERATING
LIMITATIONS
The takeotf weight (weight at brake release or at
start of takeoff roll is imited by the most restrictive
of the following:
A. Takeoff field length and second segment climb
limitations determined from the Composite
Takeotf Performance chart
B. Takeoff Weight Limited by Fuel Dump System
Exemption Requirements,
C. Takeoff field length limited by maximum brake
energy.
D. Tire Speed Limiting Weight.
E. Enroute and landing operating requirements
F. Obstacle clearance determined from Obstacle
Clearance Takeoff Flight Path charts.
The landing weight is limited by the most restrictive
of the following requirements:
‘A. Landing field length requirements determined
from Landing Field Length and Speed charts.
8. Maximum approach and landing climb weight
for altitude and temperature determined from
the Approach Climb Limiting Weight charts.
Minimum ground time after landing may be deter-
mined from the applicable Maximum Permissible
Quick Tum-Around Landing Weight chart.
The limitations, procedures, and performance
shown on charts and pages labeled 5-Rotor Disk
Brakes Goodyear Part No. 5004321-3 are also ap-
plicable to later dash numbers of the same brake.

Limiting tail wind component is. 10 knots.
Maximum operating altitude is 37,000 feet
Maximum takeoff and landing altitude is 8500 feet.*
Minimum takeoff and landing altitude is -1000
teet.**
Maximum takeoff and landing temperature is
+50°C below 2525 feet; STD +40°C from 2525 to
8500 feet.”
Minimum takeoff and landing temperature is
54°C.
Maximum enroute temperature is STD +35°C.
Minimum enroute temperature is -76°C.**
Maximum operating limit speed Vyio/Myo. may
not be deliberately exceeded in any regime of fight
(climb, cruise or descent)
* Operation is not permitted at temperatures or
altitudes exceeding either those noted above
or those for which performance is presented.
In no case may the performance be extrapolat-
ed beyond the temperature or altitude for
which performance is presented.
** For operation at temperatures and/or altitudes
lower than those given on the applicable per-
formance pages, use the performance at the
lowest temperature and/or altitude shown,
