INDIA:
It is a land where languages are different but views
are same.
It is aland where religion are different but morals
are same.
It is aland where faces are different but hearts are
the same.
It is aland where civilizations are different but
culture is the same.
It is aland where states are different but country is

4+ is the best example of |INITYINDIVERSITY:India has an amazing variety in terms of
cultures, traditions, clothes, people, religion,
languages, vegetation, population,
landforms, soil colors, cuisine, musical
instruments, vocal music, dances. And yet
there's unity in so much diversity. Three
oceans meet at the Southern tip of India, on
the North are the beautiful snowy
mountains, and in between there are
gorgeous hill stations, plateaus, plains,
tropical forests, flowing rivers, pastures,
farms, tiny towns and attractive cities.
* India is a country of diversities.
¢ It is located in South Asia.
It is the seventh largest nation in the world
and the second largest by nonulation with
over 1.2 billion people.
« India is also the world's largest democracy.
It has 5000 year old civilization and has one
of the world's oldest heritages. There are
about 325 languages and 1625 dialects.CULTURE AND
TRADITIONS
Indian culture is the collection of social norms, ethical
values, traditional traditions, belief systems, political
systems, artefacts, and technologies that originated or
are associated with the ethno linguistically varied
Indian subcontinent. India is a huge country with a
wide range of physical and social situations. People
speak different languages, follow different religions,
and do various rituals. Food preferences and clothing
styles differ. The dance form and music also differ
from one state to the next. All Indians treasure the
distinguishing characteristics and distinctiveness of
Indian culture.
The oldest culture on the planet is Indian culture.
Despite many ups and downs, Indian culture shines
with all of its richness and splendour. The ancient
cultures of Greece, Fevpt, Rome, and others were
destroyed by time, and only their ruins remain.
However, Indian culture’ is still alive and well today.
Its core concepts are the same as they were in
antiquity. The teachings of Lord Krishna, Mahavira,
and Buddha are still relevant and inspiring today. The
principles of karma, spirituality, nonviolence, praying,
reincarnation, truth, and so on continue to inspire the
pesple of India today.FESTIVALS
India, often referred to as the land of festivals, isa
country brimming with diverse traditions, cultures,
and religions. The significance and diversity of festivals
in India are a testament to the nation's rich cultural
mosaic, where each festival is a celebration of life,
heritage, and unity. From North to South and East to
West, every state and community has its unique
festivals that are an integral part of people's lives.

India is one of the ten most forest-rich countries of the
world. Together, India and 9 other countries account
for 67 percent of the total forest area of the
[Link]'s forest cover grew at 0.20% annually over
1990-2000, and has grown at the rate of 0.7% per year
over 2000-2010, after decades where forest degradation
was a matter of serious concern. Some forests of India
are:
1. Sundarban, West Bengal: The Sundarbans, which
derived its label from the Sundari Mangrove trees, is
spread across India and Bangladesh. It is unique for its
coastal mangrove forest covering 40,000 sq. km. With
over 260 species of birds and the majestic black striped
Royal Bengal tiger, the forest has 102 islands with 54
among them inhabited.
2. Jim Corbett National Park: Jim Corbett National Park
was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and
named after Edward James Corbett, a British hunter,
naturalist and a writer. With 488 species of flora,
dense, moist deciduous forest covering of 73%, 50
species of mammals, 580 species of birds and 25 reptiles,
the park was the first project under the Tiger Reserye
initiative.3. Khasi Hills, Meghalaya: The Khasi Hills
are a delight to the eyes. Rightly nicknamed
as the ‘Scotland of the East’, these low
mountain formation on the Shillong plateau
has its own culture and is inhabited by
Khasi dwellers who traditionally live in
chieftain- ships. They follow a unique
convention of the matrilineal system.
Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on Earth is
located in this region.
[Link] Mangrove Forest, Tamil
Nadu: The second largest mangrove forest
in the world, Pichavaram is an off-beat
forest, perfect for your peaceful weekend
trip. With 50 islands, 4400 canals, 200 bird
species the forest acted as a buffer zone in
the 2004 tsunami to protect the inland
territories, which, sadly, hindered its
growth. However, this forest is a hub for
smugglers due to its confusing waterwaysBIBLIOGRAPHY
