Essential Duties
1. Lead the development of UNOC’s Corporate and Subsidiary Strategy.
2. Coordinate the alignment and cascading of the Corporate Strategy to all Business functions
and Subsidiaries.
3. Conduct regular strategy reviews with Corporate and Subsidiary leads.
4. Work directly with Executive and Senior Management to execute the Corporate Strategy in-
cluding developing objectives and actions plans.
5. Facilitate cross-functional strategy sessions, workshops, and engagements.
6. Manage Corporate Performance reporting activities to track and communicate progress deliv-
ering the Corporate Strategy with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Design, develop, and maintain strategic planning artefacts, templates and tools to support co-
hesive planning approaches across the organisation.
8. Manage all Corporate Strategy and change related activities are delivered in line with UNOC’s
strategic frameworks, systems, processes, architecture, and reporting.
9. Lead the design and development of transformation and innovation initiatives in line with the
company’s Corporate Strategic direction.
10. Lead and facilitate a holistic and integrated approach to innovative and continuous improve-
ment through the design and implementation of innovative tools and approaches.
11. Support Corporate and business reporting, including for the annual report and quarterly update
reporting.
12. To identify critical business areas and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen busi-
ness processes.
13. Prepare executive briefs for the CEO and Board on Company Strategy and Corporate Perfor-
mance.
14. Supervise, appraise, develop, and mentor staff under your line management.

3. Ensure that executed Upstream agreements including Production Sharing Agreements and
Joint Operations Agreements are effectively managed and implemented.
4. Ensure that legal, contractual, and regulatory risks associated with Upstream operations and
associated joint ventures are appropriately considered and allocated in the implementation of
Upstream projects.
5. Implement existing or put in place relevant tools to ensure Upstream operations by UNOC or its
Joint Venture Partners are conducted in compliance with the applicable legal, regulatory, con-
tractual regime, acceptable International best practices and internal policies.
6. Interpret, provide advice and guidance on legal, regulatory, and contractual matters related to
upstream projects undertaken by UNOC and/or its joint venture partners and as required
attend the relevant upstream governance meetings.
7. Support the monitoring of legal, contractual, and regulatory developments within Uganda
and globally that may impact the legal, regulatory, and contractual landscape applicable to
the upstream operations and ensure these are effectively communicated.

4. Routinely liaises with the production department to ensure that crude sales forecasts are in line
with production forecasts and production capacity.
5. Coordinates with JV partners to execute jointly implemented crude exports.
6. Supports with follow through on commitments in the crude sales contracts; ensures that all

4. Work closely with Downstream sales team to understand customer needs, co-develop solu-
tions with customers, package and then negotiate key terms with the customer, and then sign
deals.
5. Provide commercial insight and expertise to other departments to assist them in planning and
executing their initiatives which will assist in improving revenue, EBITDA, AFFO and overall return
on capital invested (ROIC).
6. Participate in periodic tracking and measurement of actual performance against business
cases and provide recommendations and solutions for improvement.
7. Work closely with the finance team during the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
processes to ensure all relevant commercial information has been captured into these forecasts.
8. Monitor the business models and supporting information on the industry, customers, and eco-
nomic developments.
9. Provide timely and accurate reports including contracted business, commenced new business,
sales pipeline, collation of account plan updates, quarterly customer summaries, and other de-
partmental reports; to improve these reports on an ongoing basis in consultation with relevant
stakeholders.
10. Review and synthesize market intelligence data and information and offer relevant advice to
the commercial team.
11. Provide the financial context for decisions, ensuring strategy alignment, transparency and
impact on various financial metrics for UNOC.

8. Coordinate well testing and production operations in accordance with the Company policies

10. Support the selection of prudent service providers to optimize costs of wells and surface facili-

11. Coordinate all phases of drilling, completion, and production operations throughout the life
cycle of a wellbore.
12. Designing surface facilities including well completion systems like artificial lift and sand control
systems and coordinate their installation.
13. Work with other project team members to determine the most efficient means to develop
wells/fields and ensure that production goals and cost controls are met.
14. Analyze, interpret, and optimize individual well performance. Employ various production surveil-
lance techniques to monitor well productivity on a daily basis. Identify wells for production en-
hancements and recommend wells for recompletion and or abandonment.

3. Coordinate Risk Assurance engagements across UNOC and its Subsidiaries.

5. Coordinating Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) framework, Key Risk Indicators and tools
across the various Business and Support units.
6. Monitor and get root cause analysis on any KPI / KRI adverse trends that arise and incident/RC-
SA findings.
7. Support the conducting of regular risk assessments and preparation of all documentation relat-
ed to risk assessment, and reviews of standard operating procedures ensuring that recommended
improvements are fully implemented.
8. Support the Head of Risk in the development and execution of Business Continuity Manage-
ment program. Ensure appropriate BCM capability, including Technology services is put in place to
