III. Business Competitive Advantages and Strategy

A. Business Model Canvass
Local customers are looking for a high quality product yet affordable. They desire a unique, classy
experience. Consumers were mostly purchasing baked goods from supermarkets and wholesale
outlets as opposed to consuming baked goods from restaurants. As the recession is coming, and
citizens are spending more time at work. This will ultimately lead to a decrease in the purchasing of
biskuwit products because consumers will rely on substitute products such as nuts, yogurt, fruit and
cereal bars. Consumers are becoming more health conscious and nutrition preferences are changing
including gluten free, low-carbohydrate and Paleo diets. The pressures from consumers have led
companies to increase product differentiation such as low-calorie, low carbohydrate, and whole grain
products.

We also know that now a days, lot of consumers love drinking coffee so, this biskuwit is a nice
partner for their coffee. We seek to serve the growing demands of millenials for a new and
innovative product as an alternative to other available biskuwits at the market.
The company is a traditional bakery, baking a large variety of biskuwit crackers using "PUGON"
and all our products are prepared fresh everyday with locally grown ingredients.

IV. Company Product and Services

1. Description of Product

Filipino cookies can be traced back to the Spanish period, almost at the same time we learned how to
bake. That’s why they generally resemble Spanish delicacies. But through the years, we’ve
developed and refined our own versions, using local ingredients and methods, and making them to
fit our own tastes.

The biskuwit crackers are made with a combination of eggs, flour, sugar, shortening, and baking
powder, while white wine, milk, coconut and anise extract can be added for extra flavor, if desired.

GALLETAS/TIPPING
Unlike their Tagalog counterpart, these plain cookies are thin and round. They’re generally tasteless
(not really) in the sense that bread is, but has a hint of sweetness that makes it an addicting snack.

We use dough roller on the dough to become thin until we achieve the thin that we need for our
product, then divide the dough into small pieces and flatten it on a floured table. After that we use
the shaped cookie cutter and cut the portions. Lay the cut dough on a baking tray and set aside.

Brick Oven

On baking the product we use brick oven or baking [Link]-heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
and bake for 15 to 18 minutes.

Once cooked set aside and let it cool to prevent it from breaking down when removed from the tray.
