cells study guide Name: _____________
1. Describe the three main differences between organelles found in plant cells and organelles
found in animal cells. Animal cells do not have chloroplasts. Animal cells do not have cell
walls. Animal cells have many small vacuoles instead of one large one. Plant cells
(usually) don’t have lysosomes. Plant cells are more boxy and animal cells are more
rounded.
2. Starting with the most basic, draw and label the levels of cellular organization:
Cell Tissue Organs Organ Organism
Level Systems
Letters Words Sentences Paragraphs Story
Thoughts Ideas Opinions Beliefs Actions
Drawing
3. What are the three parts of the Cell Theory?
1. All living things (organisms) are made of cells
2. All cells come from preexisting cells.
3. Cells are the basic unit of structure and function for life.
