Analysis Of Data

From the results is can be noted that:

 The Science class performs better overall than the business class, as seen in the difference in
the mean of both classes respectively. The mean of the science class was found to be (71.5)
whereas the mean of the business class was found to be (59.2), indicating a 12.7 difference
between the two classes.
 The science class was seen to have more marks when compared to business, as viewed by
the summation of their f(x) values. When comparing these f(x) values, Science was deemed
to have (180) more marks than Business.

 This is seen when comparing the Business f(x) value (892.5) to the Science f(x) value of
(1072.5). The scale of the Science marks is seen when taking away both values from each
other

a) Mean = ∑f(x) ÷ nf

= 892.5/15

= 59.2 marks

b) Median Value = Position of Median

FORM 5 SCIENCE CLASS
