The Logistics Hub at Levanella, in Tuscany, is the focal point of
a major restructuring project regarding the logistics system for
finished products. It was designed by architect Guido Canali to
respect the environment and promote the wellbeing of workers
with the planting of peripheral trees, artificial dunes, roof
gardens, glass walls and walkways.
It is a structure with a strong visual impact, which
contributes, together with the numerous trees, to
the absorption of CO2 and the well-being of the
diners.
In the garden factory of
Valvigna, Tuscany, architecture
explores the uncontaminated
relation between constructions,
rigour of design and freedom of
natural elements.
The industrial headquarters in
Valvigna hosts the production
division and the development of
the Prada and Miu Miu leather
goods collections, the
warehouses for raw materials,
historical archives of the leather
goods and footwear collections,
the offices for general services
and industrial administration, an
auditorium, systems areas and
the Prada Group data processing
centre.
Montevarchi produces about 700 pairs of shoes every
day. At Montevarchi, conservation and respect for the
place are at the center of the architectural project. The
structure extends horizontally in order to limit an impact
that could be perceived as outsized compared to its
surrounding context.
