At first glance, Tramkade in the heart of Den Bosch shows a contrast to the city's traditional structures.

Its industrial vibe and history as a factory make it stand out, yet it breathes creativity, inclusiveness, and
movement. While cherishing the site's intrinsic value, such as the monument, skatepark, and cultural
center, we've also identified adaptive uses for the silos and various buildings.

Our analysis revealed the unique morphology of Tramkade. Unlike the block structure of residential
zones and corporate buildings, it's distinctive. Functions in the surroundings show residential areas on
the outskirts, flanked by businesses, and educational institutions peppered in between. The prevalent
steel construction gives it a different aura from the city center.

Envisioning the future of Tramkade, we're keen to reuse and repurpose. Our plan integrates housing and
retail in the plinth, while also introducing vibrant elements that foster community. Notably, a resilient
touch comes from the heat battery in the silos. We envision a central greenhouse, an extended
skatepark, and a new building housing around 70 apartments. Plus, a mobility hub near the entrance will
enhance accessibility.

Our typology makes use of the sunpath and efficient circulation, positioning the core centrally for
maximum advantage. This way, the residents will have nice views and comfortable living in the
apartments, which have on average 70m2.

Sustainability is not just a word for us. With the heat battery, we'll provide local heat, using green
energy for winter. Additions like wind turbines, solar panels, green roofs, and rainwater collectors aim to
make it a zero-energy complex.

The existing structures are jewels that combine steel, glass, and brick, as showed in the collage,
transmitting an authentic look. We're keen to introduce wood in our new building for a cozy, natural
touch and to bring something new.

In essence, we imagine a rejuvenated Tramkade: connected, resilient and vibrant, with plenty of
greenery, open spaces, and buildings, as well as room for residents to interpret. Exploring new methods
of representation, as well as some comic book style impressions, reflect this [Link] conclusion, our
journey began with an integrated design approach, blending everyone's insights. Our brainstorm
sketches display our collective vision, space allocation, and an early glimpse of the new structure.
