Lion and Mouse: A Friendship Tale

The document tells the stories of a lion and a mouse who become friends, and a thirsty crow who uses stones to raise the water level in a pot so he can drink. A mouse jumps on a sleeping lion but is spared when the lion takes pity. Later, when the lion is trapped in a hunter's net, the mouse hears his cries and frees him by gnawing through the ropes. They become good friends. A crow sees a pot with a little water and drops stones into it, causing the water level to rise, allowing him to quench his thirst. He shows cleverness in solving his problem.

STORY

THE LION AND THE MOUSE

One day a lion was sleeping in a jungle. There comes a Mouse and started jumping on the
Lion’s body. The Lion got up and caught the Mouse in his hand. The Mouse cried please, don’t eat me.
The Lion got pity and left the Mouse.
One day a Hunter came and caught the Lion in his net. The Lion roared help! Help! Help!. The
Mouse heard his voice and came running to help the Lion. The Mouse cut the net with his sharp teeth
and set the Lion free. The Lion & the Mouse became very very good friends.

THE THIRSTY CROW

One hot day a Crow was very very thirsty. He looked for water here and there but he could not
find it. After a long time he saw a pot, with very little water inside. He thought of a plan. He picked up
some stones and dropped them into the pot one by one.
The water came up, the Crow drank the water and flew away happily. He was a clever Crow.
